You will have the opportunity to see magnificent ancient reptiles with sizes of more than 4 meters. Crocodiles have been on the planet for more than two hundred million years. Since they haven't changed much over time, they are considered living dinosaurs. You can also see iguanas and basilisks in their natural environment. You will be accompanied by a Captain and a bilingual guide, both navigation experts willing to provide all the information about the fauna and flora of the river while facilitating you the opportunity to photograph and film the wildlife at close range.

Costa Rica Crocodile off the Tarcoles River
The Tarcoles river is perhaps best known for its abundance of American crocodiles. It's said that the Tárcoles River has one of the highest populations of crocodiles in the entire world - 25 crocodiles per square kilometer. Several tour operators take advantage of this fact by offering river tours that guarantee croc sightings. Much of the time these large reptiles (which can grow to a length of seven meters) can be spotted swimming through the river or sunbathing along the banks.
