A LITTLE ABOUT JUNGLE ISLAND
Jungle Island (formerly Parrot Jungle) is a newly relaunched eco-adventure park on Watson Island, Miami, Florida, United States.[1] The park is currently re-open, following a series of major improvements performed after the park incurred damage from Hurricane Irma.[2] The park features new and upcoming attractions such as pop-up waterslides, an outdoor wind tunnel flight experience, zip lines, escape rooms, a Nerf battle stadium and other attractions. It was originally named Parrot Jungle and moved from its suburban first location in Pinecrest, Florida to its present location just east of downtown Miami, renamed as Parrot Jungle Island. In 2007, the park was again renamed to Jungle Island.

Miami is located in the southeastern part of Florida and is a vibrant city with Cuban influence (with cafes and cigars shops which you can mainly find in Little Havana). Little Havana offers a taste of multicultural lifestyle. There are so many things to do in Miami.
In Miami you can definitely find something for every taste. You can go to Miami Beach which has evolved into an urban metropolis.
You can go to Everglades National Park. It’s one of the most unusual public parks in the United States located on the southern tip of Florida.
There are sawgrass meadows, subtropical jungles including the American Crocodile, the Florida Panther and the West Indian Manatee. During your stay you can also go to Coral Gables, it’s a beautiful mediterranean spot.
There are many famous restaurants in the city such as Nikki Beach Miami. If you go out for clubbing you can find a lot of nightclubs such as LIV Miami, SET Miami and Mansion Miami.
If you have the time to go to South Beach, you can take the South Beach Walking Tour and explore the Art deco architecture of the area. You can go to the Miami zoo, which climate allows to keep a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa.

The Beautifull Parrot Junggle Island
Jungle Island (formerly Parrot Jungle) is an interactive zoological park in Watson Island, Miami, Florida, United States.[1] It was originally Parrot Jungle and moved from its original suburban Pinecrest to its present location just east of Downtown Miami renamed as Parrot Jungle Island. In 2007, the park was again renamed to Jungle Island.
Parrot Jungle was a zoological park south of Miami on 22 acres (89,000 m2) of property at Killian Drive and South Red Road.
Originally founded in 1936 by Franz & Louise Scherr, Parrot Jungle was one of the first tourist attractions established in the Miami area.[citation needed] The idea for Parrot Jungle began after Scherr, who owned and operated a feed and supply store in Homestead, became intrigued with the idea of building an attraction where birds would fly free. Scherr leased 22 acres (89,000 m2) of hammock land for an annual fee of $25. Parrot Jungle was built as a winding nature trail dug through the coral rock and hammock land, indigenous to the area. All the natural plants were left undisturbed. The entrance was built on Red Road.
The attraction opened on December 20, 1936, to about 100 visitors. Each paid 25 cents admission to see and hear Scherr talk about his birds, trees and flowers. Since 1936, over a million visitors have visited Parrot Jungle.[2] Among its many famous visitors was Sir Winston Churchill,[2][3] film director Steven Spielberg, and former US President Jimmy Carter.[2] On December 17, 2002, the Village of Pinecrest purchased the Parrot Jungle with the aim of developing the site as Pinecrest Gardens. On March 8, 2003 the Pinecrest Village Council dedicated Pinecrest Gardens and officially opened it to the public as the Village's newest municipal park, without the animals that had made the park famous. The actual attraction moved to a new waterfront location on Watson Island between Downtown Miami and South Beach. It opened on June 28, 2003 as Parrot Jungle Island.
On June 28, 2007, four years after the park first opened at its bayfront location, Jungle Island became the official name.

Frost Museum Tour
The $305 million Frost Museum has finally arrived in Miami, and it's impressive. Combining, visual, auditory and tactile interactive experiences, the attraction delivers on it's promise to appeal to all ages.
The facility boasts a three level, 500,000 gallon aquarium, a 16-million-color 8K planetarium which utilizes six 3D projectors, incredible sweeping views and an unbelievable amount of fascinating exhibits, most providing a thorough, hands-on learning experience.
Located right off Interstate 395 and US 1, the location couldn't be better. The American Airlines Arena, Adrienne Arsht Center, Bayside Marketplace, Perez Museum and people mover are all within walking distance. Downtown, The Port of Miami, Jungle Island and South Beach are all less than 10 minutes away.
If you are a local, the annual pass makes sense. If you are a tourist, it's still a great way to spend $28 and most of your day. I strongly suggest visiting on a weekday as weekends can be much busier, and elevator usage can be a problem for those with disabilities or young children in strollers.
A final caveat: if you are staying long enough to eat, be sure to call ahead to confirm the restaurant is open (at the time of this posting, it wasn't). Otherwise your options are to eat at one of two small and overwhelmed food service stands (ideally at off hours), or bring your own lunch.
I'm sure you will enjoy your day in the museum and I hope this information is of use. If you have any questions or comments, please post them below. If you enjoyed the video, why not click the like and subscribe button and and stay informed. Thanks again for watching and I will see you soon.
