Cape Tribulation travel video guide Queensland Australia
Once you cross the Daintree River, you enter into a region that is home to the oldest rainforest on the planet.
Cape Tribulation is a small village nestled in the heart of this rainforest and is where the frontier of Queenslands' north really begins.
As you pass through the lowland and tropical rainforest make sure to take some time and explore these areas as they have excellent coastal lookouts. This area is literally where the great barrier reef meets the rainforest.
You can drive yourself or take a tour up the Bloomfield Track. This is the major coastal highway north, Most times will will need a Four Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicle to drive alongside the coast.
You can day trip to Cape Tribulation from Port Douglas and Cairns, but there are camping spots and accommodation options available for those who would like to spend a little more time exploring the area.

Your informative and knowledgeable driver/guide will collect you from your accommodation and travel one of Australia's great scenic Highways before arriving at the Daintree River. We then cross the Daintree River and continue on to the Mossman Gorge Centre for a refreshing morning tea. We then return to the Daintree River, with a stop enroute to enjoy the panoramic view from Alexandra Lookout.
Re-crossing the river, we join a calm water cruise of this important waterway observing the wildlife that inhabits this environment. Virtual Treadmill Walk - Cairns Esplanade QLD Australia - Morning & Night
You can use this video the next time you do an indoor treadmill or bike workout using your favourite device.
We've just returned from an awesome weeks holidaying in the Cairns region of Far North Queensland Australia, and will be uploading more treadmill videos over the next couple of months.
Today we're taking a walk along the Esplanade in Cairns which is such an awesome place. The first half of the video was taken in the morning, and the second half at night. I do apologise in advance for the image quality of this video, as the camera doesn't seem to handle low light levels as well as I'd hoped for. Regardless, I think it's still worth the view :)
The Cairns Esplanade, in Tropical North Queensland, Australia, has been a focal point for locals and visitors in Cairns city since the region was founded in the late 1800s. It is a recreational area for people from all walks of life — backpackers travelling around Australia, visitors looking for a beautiful view during an early evening dinner, couples having an early morning jog, teenagers using the skateboard ramp, CBD workers resting on the grass for lunch, and countless more.

The Big Trip - Cairns and The Tablelands - 19th to 21st April 2016
Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest UNESCO World Heritage sites, and starting point for serious 4WD treks into Cape York Peninsula's vast wilderness, Cairns (pronounced ‘Cans’) depends on tourism for survival. For many, it marks the end of a long journey up the east coast; for others, the beginning of an Aussie adventure. Whichever way you're swinging, you're bound to meet like-minded nomads.
Uncle Brian's Fun, Falls & Forest Tour is a fantastic fun filled journey through North Queensland's spectacular Atherton Tableland's Region.
We were invited to join Gus the Wonder Bus on a day's journey through this spectacular area, swimming in pristine waterfalls and crater lakes!! It was an absolute blast, highly recommended.

Kuranda Day Trip/Scenic Railway/Koala Gardens/Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
Hey friends! In this video, we take you back to Australia where we take a day trip from Cairns to the village of Kuranda. What's so special about Kuranda? Well, the Kuranda Koala Gardens is located there and it is one of the few places in Australia where you can cuddle with a koala bear! We booked our day tour through Down Under Tours. They picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at the Kuranda Scenic Railway station. The Kuranda Scenic Railway takes you through the beautiful Barron Gorge National Park to the village of Kuranda. The train ride takes approximately 2 hours with a quick 10 minute stop to view Barron Falls. When you arrive in Kuranda you can either walk to the village or take the free shuttle bus. We had about 3 hours to explore the village. There is a separate entrance fee to enter the Koala Gardens. In the gardens they have an area where you can feed wallabies and kangaroos. There is also a separate charge to cuddle and take a picture with the koala bear. It was a bit pricey but it is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. G3 had difficulty figuring out how to properly hold the koala but he eventually got it! Lol!
We have lunch at the Frog Restaurant where we try an appetizer trio of grilled kangaroo, crocodile, and emu. G3 was brave enough to try it. Does he like it? You'll have to watch and see!
After lunch, we check out the Kuranda Heritage Market and buy souvenirs. We take a walk through the village on our way back to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a 7.5 km scenic cableway running above the Barron Gorge National Park. You get amazing views above the rainforest. If you're afraid of heights this ride may not be for you! There are two stations where you can get off and explore a bit of the rainforest but we were pressed for time and had to pass.
If you are ever in Cairns and have a day to spare, we highly recommend you take this tour!

Mackay to Maryborough: Series 05 Queensland E12 Road Trip Lap of Australia
After finishing up in Far North Queensland we headed to Mackay to visit family. We stayed at a great scout camp with a mountain bike track, visited a sugar cane farm then began our trek towards Maryborough. We passed through Rockhampton to visit the Zoo, and found some great free camps. Maryborough was fantastic, the home of Mary Poppins we visited the Story Bank to hear the stories origins through role play, activities and other fun. We stayed at a great campsite, a small boutique caravan park on the water called the Wharf. Lot's of caravan and road trip lifestyle in this video!
