Hawaii Maui Island Lahaina walk and driving tour to IAO State Monument ????????????
Hawaii Maui Island Lahaina walk and driving tour to IAO State Monument happened because helicopter tour was cancelled due to bad weather. This video includes walking scenes in Lahaina around the port recorded with my LG V30+ and drive to IAO Valley State Monument which was recorded with my ION action camera on suction cup mount. The part of the drive includes road to Hana.
Most of the scenic and coastal drive accelerated 4 times so it turned in to timelapse. While approaching to the State Monument park, slow driving scenes were recorded with LG V30+ to capture more detailed scenes. I am planning to add informative text that can be seen when CC is turned on on your YouTube screen.

Iao Valley | Best Hike on Maui: Hiking Wall of Tears - The Detourist Guide To Travel - Maui | Ep. 29
Enjoy our show? Support it →
On this episode of the show we take you hiking deep into Maui's Iao Valley. Tag along as we hike our way through the jungles of Maui, along epic ravines and cliffs, passed endless waterfalls and river valleys for one of our favorite hikes on Maui so far. Whether you're looking for the best hiking trail on Maui or just want see Maui's wall of tears, this just might be the top Maui hike! Make sure to subscribe to continue following our Maui travel as we spend the next several months experiencing what it’s like to live, work and explore one of the most beautiful places in all of America.
The Detourist Guide To Travel is a long term travel show for the anti-tourist. We’re into experiencing what it’s really like to live, work and enjoy a destination like the locals do, not the people who visit. So, for the past several years we’ve left our home in the Northwest (Tacoma, WA) and lived somewhere new in the world from Vietnam all the way to Spain. What makes us different than the other 100 billion travel vloggers, digital nomads and backpackers on Youtube? We avoid the tourist track. No hostels or resorts. No tour guides or guide books. No souvenirs or travel clothes. We buy vehicles & groceries. We get apartments & jobs. We go slow & take our time, because if a place is worth going, it’s worth staying for a while.

We want to thank you again for our incredible opportunity to tour Hawaii with you last month. It was the highlight of our trip. The information you shared on our Hawaiian Traditions Tour added to our own testimony of the gospel culture and it blesses us to know how others have sacrificed to build the Kingdom. Your presentation style and personality was the other enjoyable dimension that added greatly to our experience.

We Swam Under A Waterfall in Maui!! (Wailua Falls)
On our road to Hana trip we went past the town of Hana to the Wailua waterfall it is an 80' waterfall that looks amazing and is fed from rainwater from the rainforest above. We have always wanted to swim under a waterfall, bucket list item checked off! ????✅
Parking is tight and it gets way worse at the end of the day up to and including tour vans taking up a ton of spots! Get there early and go down the trail to get in the freezing cold water, its amazing! Be aware the road after Hana is worse than the road to Hana, totally worth it.
We used the gypsy guide for the road to Hana and it recommended stopping here. We thought the app was great and would recommend that too for your road to Hana trip.

The Biggest Tree in the United States of America is in Hawaii? | Something I Found Interesting
It's time to debut a new series called Something I Found Interesting, where I talk about...well...things I found that were interesting. We're starting with an easy pick: the largest tree in the United States of America. It's located in a place many might not expect: Hawaii. Shocked? Well, that probably means your opinions about tree accomplishments are too strong, but nevertheless you should watch the video anyway.

This was actually all shot with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro:
(I wasn't flying the drone through the tree, I just used it as a gimbal since I forgot my DJI Osmo Pocket at home)
Best Hikes In Maui, Hawaii - Waihee Ridge, Bamboo Forest, Wailua Iki Falls - The Amateur YouTuber
BEST hikes in Maui, Hawaii - tips, advice, must-see spots.
1. Waihee Ridge Hiking Trail
This is a Moderately Hard hike. Take it from me, I have a bad knee but was able to do complete it.
It is a 5-mile round-trip trail that ascends 1,500 ft. through a lush forest of guava, ferns, and freaking nature at its finest man.
When you arrive you will pass through a cattle-proof gate and walk up about 200-ft. This will be the first test on your knees and I think the hardest part of the hike.
After about three-quarters of a mile, you'll be treated to a better view of (Maka-Maka-Olay Falls) Makamakaole Falls.
The trail goes in cycles of flat and steep areas, that ultimately lead to the end of a hill called Lani-ili. At 2,563 ft. depending on what time you went and weather conditions you may be rewarded with a clear view of the valley or chilling next to a sea of clouds.
2. Bamboo Forest Hike
If you’re into chasing waterfalls, the Bamboo Forest Hike is a must. It is located after mile marker 6 on Hana Highway.
Parking is all street parking and it gets crowded here so if you see a spot, take it.
There are several small openings through bamboo. All eventually lead down to the main trail.
A few warnings, you must be aware of before going on this adventure.
As you make your way through the bamboo you’ll have the opportunity to see 3 different waterfalls, each with pools of freshwater you can swim in. We were only brave enough to do the first two waterfalls, the third one you have to climb up a sketchy ladder that just wasn’t in the stars for us this time, but maybe next time.
3. Wailua Iki Falls
This is a 1-mile round trip and one of the best hikes on the road to Hana.
Be warned the land is leased to a private company and hiking here is considered trespassing, though it’s not strictly enforced. Use your best judgment and respect the land.
This is an easy hike and although we got hit by the rain and had to turn back I think it was one of my favorite spots.
You’ll find this hike past mile marker 45. Parking is limited so you may have to park slightly up or down the road if you want to visit this hidden gem.
Let us know if you tried any of these hikes and stay tuned we will be doing an in-depth review on Waihee Ridge Hiking Trail so make sure to subscribe, like, comment, tell your mom and dad every bit helps guys.
All The Best,
-Yareli + Kirk

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Kaanapali to Lahaina - HD
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Starting at Black Rock in Kaanapali, follow the coastline past the many resorts along the coast of Maui's West Side to Lahaina. The West Maui Mountains can be seen in the background and the island of Lanai in the foreground.
THE BLUE HAWAIIAN DIFFERENCE There's simply no argument: Blue Hawaiian is Hawaii's #1 helicopter tour company. Blue Hawaiian's aircraft maintenance technicians have received the FAA's coveted Certificate of Excellence, Diamond Award every year since 1998. No other helicopter tour company in Hawaii has ever received this critical recognition. Blue Hawaiian was honored by the FAA for its record 12th straight year in January, 2009, at a ceremony in Honolulu, and the FAA further honored Blue Hawaiian with the very first Certificate of Excellence, Platinum Award. And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.

The Jungles of Maui
At the end of the road of terror, there was a lovely jungle type area that we got to drive through.
The Island of Maui
The highlights of both East and West Maui are united in this unique aerial tour of the complete island of Maui. See Haleakala Crater, Oheo Gulch, Hana Town, Hana rainforest and the rugged shoreline of Northeast Maui. Explore deep, meandering valleys set in the rainforest of the ancient West Maui Mountains. Knife-edged ridges with mist-shrouded peaks separate the spectacular valleys that give Maui its nickname, The Valley Isle. Waterfalls cascade down from towering cliffs into the streams running along the rainforest floor. Learn about the history and culture of the sights from your pilot, who is also a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide.
