The conditions of this remote road were extreme! 4x4, snorkel and chains on the tires were necessary. What an adventure! Now there is a new road in construction making the trip to the Caribbean coast of Veraguas much easier.

Heading up Rio Luis in local cayuco's. The small 15HP motors get us up river but cannot handle the rapids. Here the captain must exit and with great skills get the boats up stream making sure nobody falls out! The level of experience needed for this is gained by a lifetime on the river. Very impressive to watch!

River crossing is a necessity here in the mountains of Santa Fe. These horses really know how. The rocks can be slippery and the current can be strong however in this video the conditions were perfect!
