This video was made by one of Taidemuseo`s volunteers to present One Hundred Years, A Thousand Meanings exhibition and it offers a chance to see the backstage of the project. The exhibition is open to visit starting from June 9th to October 8th, 2017.
It shows a selection of significant Finnish artwork from between the 1800’s to the 2010’s. The pieces are presented from a new perspective which is made through a variety of different interpretations.

Mural art piece called Keep me in the centre of Jyväskylä coming to life
Finland got it's first ever digital augmented reality mural painting – right in the heart of Jyväskylä!
Brought by Nordic art network within the framework of the City of Digital Art Festival (02/02-04/02/2018) in collaboration with UPEA street art festival and developers lab Stolen Shoes Entertainment.
The original mural art piece is called Keep me and belongs to the hand of famous Italian street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino (Millo) who painted the wall of an apartment building in Jyväskylä (Vapaudenkatu 65) during the UPEA street art festival taking place all over Finland in 2017.
Augmented reality platform arilyn enables all citizens and guests of Jyväskylä to enjoy a beautiful animation accompanied by beautiful original soundtrack composed exclusively for the City of Digital Art festival by ALM studios that brought still mural painting image to life.

Rakennetaan kaupunki! collaborates with Onerva Mäen koulu (special education) and with Alvar Aalto Museum making the project Rakennetaan koulu! / Let´s build the school!.
Rakennetaan kaupunki! Jyväskylä project 2013-14: Opera (Premiere: April 8th) + exhibition (April 4th-May 4th) + workshop of architecture (all kids who see the opera make the workshop) + seminary on opera education in schools (April 9th).
Opera composer: Sanna Ahvenjärvi and Tapio Lappalainen. Libretto: students. Edition libretto: Jenni Kinnunen. Baritone: Paavo Nisula. Singers and actors: students, teachers and assistants of Onerva school. String Quartet: Academus. Teacher of dance: Elli Pulkkinen-Jyväskylän Tanssiopisto. Teacher of graphic design: Jyrki Markkanen. Director: Jorge Raedó. Producer: Anna Rombach. The opera has two dramaturgic lines: (1) students what to build the new school building, (2) Alvar Aalto.

A video about the experience of Canal Cheong Jagerroos at the International Artist-In-Residence Program in Beijing 2017, including images from the opening of her related solo exhibition ‘Waking/蘇醒’ at Being 3 Gallery, Beijing, China.
Canal Cheong Jagerroos (b.1968), a Chinese contemporary visual artist who grew up in an artistic family in Macau. She works between Helsinki, Nice and Berlin. As far back as Canal can remember, at the time other children her age were playing with crayons, her father taught her the fundamentals of Chinese ink brush painting. In many ways, Canal’s father teaching has strongly influenced her journey to find artistic expression.
Canal has lived and worked for 25 years in numerous countries from Asia to Europe and Africa. She is currently living with her family in Finland. The unique experience of having lived in such culturally diverse places, namely; Hong Kong, Shanghai, France, Switzerland, Italy, Senegal and Finland has influenced her work greatly whether consciously or subconsciously. Canal has discovered that walking the line between the east and west, facing different cultures, can be both constructive and destructive, but always inspirational.
Canal Cheong Jagerroos is the co-founder of the ongoing art project ‘Blue and Red’ which will be showing in numerous museums in China and Finland from 2018 - 2020.
