Ascend (almost) 1,368 Stairs To A Beautiful Japanese Shrine
This is Day 5 of the tour where we hike up (almost) 1,368 stairs to a gorgeous shrine, watch an awesome Awa-Odori performance and get to witness some naruto whirlpools.
I was invited by JNTO (Japan National Tourism Organization) and JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) to go on an epic 5 day tour around Hiroshima, Okayama, Kagawa and Tokushima Prefecture.

On the base of Yashima Mountain in Takamatsu City, Kagawa prefecture, lies an open air museum Shikoku Mura (四国村). Among the artwork displayed here are traditional building and structures from within Shikoku Island, farmhouses and storehouses from the Edo and Meiji Periods, as well as a small art gallery.
Visitors can explore the outdoors museum on the mountainside, viewing bridges, a light house and even a kabuki theater. Among the most popular is a vine suspension bridge modeled after the ones in Tokushima Prefecture’s Iya Valley. The bridges are made of vine and wood with reinforcements by steel cables.
Hours: 8:30 to 17:30 (until 18:00 from April to October)
Closed: Opened All Year Round
Admission: 800 yen (1000 yen combined ticket includes entrance to the gallery)

Via Kotoden:
Board a train from Takamatsu-Chikko Station to Kawaramachi Station. The journey should take about 5 minutes. Transfer to the Shido Line and disembark at Kotoden Yashima Station. The journey here should take about 15 minutes. From the station, it should take about 5 minutes on foot to Shikoku Mura.
Note: Though there are many trains from Takamatsu-Chikko Station to Kawaramachi Station, from Kawaramachi Station to Kotoden Yashima Station there are only 3 trains every hour.
Via JR:
From JR Takamatsu Station, board a local train to Yashima Station. The journey should take 15 minutes. From the station, it should take about 15 minutes on foot to Shikoku Mura.
Note: There are only 1 or 2 trains every hour.

【★016★Kagawa Kotohira Kanamaruza Kabuki Theater】

Built in Kotohira in 1835, Kanamaruza Theater is Japan's oldest surviving, complete kabuki playhouse. Now and then, it still stages kabuki performances.
The theater is open to visitors who can explore Kanamaruza's audience hall, stage, and dressing rooms when no shows are held. Be sure to check out the basement to see the workings of the human-powered rotating stage and trapdoors used by actors to dramatically enter and exit performances.
A similar historical kabuki theater, Uchiko-za, is located in Uchiko in nearby Ehime Prefecture.

Kanamaruza Theater is located about a 10 to 15 minute walk from JR Kotohira and Kotoden Kotohira Stations, and about 200 meters off the approach to Kompirasan Shrine.

วันที่สองแล้ว วันนี้ตื่นไม่เช้ามาก เที่ยวชิวๆในเมืองทากามัตสึ สถานที่ที่พาไปวันนี้คือ หมู่บ้านโบราณที่สถานี Kotoden Yashima หรือ Shikoku Mura ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ที่ได้นำบ้านเก่าๆที่ได้รับบริจาคจากที่ต่างๆมาตั้งไว้เพือให้นักท่องเที่ยวเข้าไปสัมผัสถึงวิถีชีวิตของคนญี่ปุ่นแถบนี้ ในช่วงสมัยก่อน นอกจากบ้านเรือนแล้ว ยังมีสิ่งก่อสร้างที่เอาไว้ใช้แปรรูปอ้อยเป็นน้ำตาล หรือว่าจะเป็นโกดังเก็บข้าว รวมถึงแหล่งบันเทิงของคนรุ่นก่อนอย่างโรงละครคาบูกิ โดยรวมแล้วใช้เวลาที่นี่ประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมงกำลังดี ตอนบ่ายตั้งใจจะไปวัด Kotohira ต่อ แต่กล้องที่พกมาเกิดพังขึ้นมา จึงต้องขอเอาเวลาช่วงบ่ายไปหาที่ซ่อมกล้องแทน
เราเริ่มการเดินทางจากสถานีคาวาระมาจิ ไปแลกพาสรถไฟที่สถานีทากามัตสึ จากนั้นนั่งกลับมาคาวาระมาจิอีกรอบเพื่อนขึ้นอีกสายไปลงสถานี Kotoden Yashima จากนั้นเดินอีกประมาณ 10 นาที
This video will take you to Shikoku Mura in Takamatsu city. This place has compiled the old houses from Shikoku region, placing like a museum. Except the old house that people used to stayed, this village also has a barn, sugar factory and the entertainment area, Kabuki theater
I left from my guesthouse at 8:30 am, took the Kotoden to Takamatsu station to change my purchased ticket to JR shikoku pass. After that I go back to Kawaramachi station to take Shido line to Kotodenyashima station and walk around 10 minutes to Shikoku Mura.
