Komokuten (広目天) of the Tōdai-ji, Nara - CGI
This is a clip which highlights the CGI preservation and restoration of the clay Nara-era Shitenno at the Todai-ji in Nara, Japan. The main figure shown here is Komokuten. This group was once dedicated to protect central figures inside a hall or temple that is no longer extant. Through digital scanning, reconstruction via written records and virtually dialing back time, the architecture and sculptural elements can be married and again seen as it either was once envisioned or used to be.

The tempreture at Nara 9.30am on 29 March was close to 5 degrees according to my phone. We were underdressed and the people around seemed like they were made to walk in winter.
I got a volunteer local guide from Nara to bring us as it is only a day trip there and my mom couldn't walk too much if we get lost ourselves., You can find the link here
0:49 Yoshiki Garden is near the train station and it is also quiet. Behind it is the Isuien Park which is even more beautiful but requires a fee to enter (800 if I remember) so we skipped.
1:54 The big patch of field within Nara park was where we had our hanami (cheeryblossom viewing picnic). The only thing you need to beware of are the deers if they smell your food.
2:07 Todaiji Kaidando requires a small fee to enter and it was the first mankai (full bloom) we saw in Japan, hence : late blossom.
2:35 Entering the temple proper.
2:55 Nigatsu Do
3:04 Kasuga Taisha is a beautiful place with many petal like lantern statues. At 3:01, that forest was believed to be the spot where the sacred deer was found carrying the lightning god over which protected Nara back in the edo period.
3:32 Kofuku Ji Pagoda
4:04 Higashimuki Shopping Street is the town of Nara housing the train station. It marked our last stop for rest and dinner before heading back to Dontobori.

Dating, Marriage, and Women (in Ancient Japan) | History of Japan 13
How was the dating life in ancient Japan? What were the marriage customs?
Kofun Japan was more egalitarian than in later periods. It was quite matriarchal, which had effects on dating, marriage, and the role of women. Gender roles were quite different back then. This only changed once the ancient Japanese began adopting more Chinese culture, especially Confucianism.
