Shimonoseki, Japan - Kaikyō Yume Tower (2019)
The Kaikyō Yume Tower (海峡ゆめタワー) dominates the city of Shimonoseki and is the tallest tower in western Japan. Standing 153 metres tall, it was opened in July 1996. It forms a part of the Kaikyō Messe Shimonoseki building, which houses a conference centre and corporate offices.
The tower was designed by NTT Power and Building Facilities and built by Takenaka Corporation.
Upon paying an admission fee, tourists can visit an observation deck in the glass sphere at the top of the building for panoramic views over the city and the Kanmon Straits.

Nicknamed the Fugu Capital, it is known for the locally caught pufferfish and is the largest harvester of the pufferfish in Japan.
As of October 1, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 265,684 and a population density of 370 persons per km². The total area is 716.14 km².

Enjoyable midsummer ride from Shimonoseki in Japan to Pusan in Korea. There are several ferries between both countries. Starting eather from Shimoseki, Moji or Fukuoka.

Kaiko Yume Tower in Shimonoseki, Japan
This tower has a 360 degree view of the city, unfortunately it isn't a revolving tower. You have to walk around by yourself to get the 360 view.
I grabbed a seat overlooking the water and set up my camera to take around 360 photos with 10 second intervals.
Camera was set to manual focus with an aperture of f5.6, however I had the camera set to auto ISO (so it changes from 320 to 400). Shutter speed was a constant 1/60.
I corrected the white balance to lesson the purple tint, and to bring out the tress more.
Camera used is a full spectrum converted Fuji X-T10 with the XF 25mm F2 lens.
Filter used is the LDP LLC X-Nite XDP filter from maxmax.com
I'm not sure, but the photos look similar to my B+W 403 UV filter (I'll need to do more research).

Shimonoseki is the westernmost city on Japan’s main island, Honshu. At the island’s tip, there are panoramic views from the Kaikyō Yume Tower observation deck. Kaikyokan Aquarium has penguins, dolphins and around 100 species of blowfish.
Nearby Karato Market is also known for its blowfish stalls. Kanmon Bridge and the undersea Kanmon Pedestrian Tunnel link the city to Kyūshū, the big island across the Kanmon Straits.
