Langde Shang Miao Village in Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province, China
Situated by the crystal Danjiang River and circled by green Leigong Mountains, Langde (also referred to as Upper Langde Village) is most picturesque Miao village in Rongjiang County. It has also been desginated by the Chinese Government as the Chinese Folk Art Village in 1997. The village, containing the Miao's Ethnic Village Museum will present visitors an authentic experience of Miao.
As you approach the village, you will be caught by the charming Wind and Rain Bridge stretching over the stream, the ancient mill wheels, and rows upon rows of stilted wooden houses (Diaojiao House in Chinese), the typical folk residence of Miao built on the stilts of different heights.
Langde Shang villagers belong to the Long Skirt Miao as the women here are traditionally dressed in their long skirts.

Xiaojia Courtyard(肖家大院) in Qiandongnan Guizhou
About 30 km away from Zhenyuan Ancient Town lies a secret courtyard which has a long history dating back to Ming Dynasty. Xiaojia Courtyard(肖家大院) was originally an army base sent by Ming emperor Zhu Yuanzhang. However, afterwards descendants of these soldiers decided to settle down and turn this base into a community. Now at this courtyard, you can still feel the sense of country village, yet the tense atmosphere of preparing for the defense.

Located on the north side of Leigong Hill, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is about 35 km (22 miles) away from Kailicity; the capital of Qiandongnan, and about 260 km (162 miles) from Guiyang City; the capital city of Guizhou Province.
Being the largest gathering place of the Miao in China and even the world, about ten natural Miao ethnic villages exist in Xijiang Town and the Miao culture is best preserved in this area. According to the latest statistics, there are about 1,288 families with a total population of around 6,000 people living there. 99.5% of the local people are Miao nationality.
In Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, layer upon layer of closely connected wooden-stilted houses are built along the contour of the hill with the Baishui River passing through the bottom of the mountain. Wind-rain bridges connect the banks of the river. During the day the sunlight makes the red wood board shine brightly, and in the evening, smoke from the chimneys spirals, forming a white belt around the mountain's waist.
The Miao Nationality Museum: Eleven exhibition halls in the museum show every aspect of Miao life from culture, clothes, living behaviors, customs, construction and art. At the entrance of the museum, visitors are required to show their village entrance tickets.
The Singing and Dancing Show: The Old Songs of Miao Nationality sung by seniors in the village is excellent. Two performances are held twice everyday, one at around 11:30 and the other at around 17:00 on the square. The exact performance time is a little different everyday, so it is suggested to confirm the schedule when you are there.
Two Streets: There are two main streets in Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, an ancient one and a modern-built Youfang Street. As well as unique shops the old street has many snacks stores, restaurants, and silver products stores.
Original Lifestyle of Miao Nationality: If one wants to appreciate the local life, wandering around maybe the best way. Roaming around the wooden-stilted houses and twisting lanes, travelers can see and absorb the authentic local life. Around Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, one can see the terrace and appreciate how locals work on the farms.
The Panorama of the Village: The best place to see the panorama of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is the Sightseeing Platform. Many visitors like to take photos from here. One can even rent a traditional costume of the Miao people if you are interested. Viewing the night scene on the platform is the most wonderful thing. The lamps of different houses twinkling in the dark make the night bewitching. It is really worth seeing.

The village looks away as the Miao minority live. Somewhere tread new ground seems to be the excitement that only a travel case. Half the tourists Miao Miao virgin I might call that is alas a woman without age and relationship. Miao virgins here as much as the star. Miao language is different, but this means going through the Chinese feel that the music seems to be singing a nation. This is a place still remains a lot of unique cultural neat when civilization. Turn the millstone grinding maize in hand and very busy. The laid-back looks like a lot of our rural landscape and. Dogs and cats in the neighborhood, worked in the kitchen go to the roost, the rustic look is impressive. One older woman is seen along Miao groups shows a special place. It brought the suit to collect honey and eat directly. Miao men mainly work to catch fish in the river these days I will be a lot of that form. Groups went according to the old way go to catch fish. We received a strong impression in the traditional appearance of the Miao people think, but still continue the Mac called him uncomfortable and inefficient.

Miao Trailer 422MB

GUIZHOU Langde Zhen Miao Village, Leishan. SpragnionyChin odc.9
#Guizhou #Miao #Leishan #Qiandongnan #ThirstyForChina
stanowiące kwintesencję kultury i muzyki mniejszości Miao.
W Langde, mężczyźni trudnią się głównie rolnictwem,
kobiety natomiast zajmują się rękodziełem i gospodarstwem.
Drewniane domy, drewniane koła wodne...
ryżowe tarasy, bujnie zielone góry i rzeki o turkusowym kolorze, tworzą przepełniony pięknem idyllizm prowincji Guizhou.
