The beautiful Kyoto in Japan ,Shimabara Sights ”Wachigaiya” 輪違屋
Wachigaiya is another preserved geisha teahouse or okiya dating from the 1680s. In its heyday, Wachigaiya was frequented by trainee geisha and tayu and the latticed wooden building displays a gaslight with the linked circle crest of the the tea house.
輪違屋（わちがいや）とは、現在も営業されている京都の花街、島原の置屋兼お茶屋である。
かつては芸妓等も抱えていたが、現在は太夫のみを抱え、太夫の教育の場であり、また、宴席の場として営まれている。表に「観覧謝絶」の札がある（いわゆる「一見さんおことわり」の店である）
浅田次郎小説およびテレビドラマの『輪違屋糸里』で有名だが、糸里が輪違屋にいた との記録は輪違屋側にはない。 「維新の名花」といわれた「桜木太夫」を抱えていたのはここである

Visiting one of Japan's most famous shrines: Meiji shrine in Tokyo! This shrine is in a forest that's 170 acres large! It felt like we were just walking around in nature as opposed to being in the middle of a major city. Access though Harajuku Station on the JR Yamanote Line, Meiji-jingu-mae Station on the Chiyoda Subway Line or Kita-sando Station on the Fukutoshin Line of the Tokyo metro.

My last full day in Osaka. Man, it's been a journey up until this point. I stumbled into spending a whole day in Kyoto with Karin, who was really helpful with teaching me a bunch of the Japanese language and their traditions. We explored the mountain and came back down for some food. I've met so many awesome people out here, and will return to see them all again.
