Kaizu Osaki is name of a place near Biwa lake (the biggest lake in Japan) which is famous for its glorious cherry blossom.
The blossoming peak time varies each year, but is often between April 14th ～ 24th. You can check the website for exact time before going.
You can also access to Kaizu Osaki (海津大崎) by train where the nearest station is Makino. From Makino station, you can catch a taxi or a shuttle bus to the point.

桜のトンネル 海津大崎(滋賀県北部)でドライブしながら花見
2015.4.7に滋賀県北部にある海津大崎と言うところで桜を見てきました。
ほぼ満開で、綺麗な桜のトンネルを車から撮影しました。
曇りだったのが残念です･･･
工事？の信号待ち以外は、殆どノーカットです。
日本さくらの会が選定する、「日本さくら名所100選」にも選ばれており、
約800本のソメイヨシノが、琵琶湖岸延々4kmにわたって、
桜のトンネルを作り出している。
