The Kaka-no-kukedo is a set of caves in the Kaka area, north of Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. The area has a deeply indented coastline facing the Sea of Japan, and the unique scenery is part of Daisen-Oki National Park, and is designated as a national site of scenic beauty and a national natural treasure. The Kaka Kukedo Sightseeing Boat departs from Marine Plaza Shimane, and offers 50-minute tours of the caves. The boat will take visitors to Shin Kukedo which appears in ancient mythology and Kyu Kukedo which is believed to be the Limbo of Infants in Buddhism.
