See that big bloke in front of the camera? Yea, that's me. G’day folks, I’m Mikey Cunningham. I’m not only the bloke in front of the camera, I do all the work behind the camera too. I make fishing videos.
I live in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Also known as the Top End. A lot of my older videos are from the Gulf of Carpentaria, when I lived in a little fishing village called King Ash Bay Fishing Club. It's located on the banks of the McArthur River downstream from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. I still go back there a few times a year and make fishing videos of my fishing trips.
I enjoy filming and editing my fishing adventures. Sometimes it's not all about the fishing and catching fish. I try to make my fishing videos as entertaining as possible. Thank you to everyone who leaves me a comment and shares my stuff. You guys are awesome.

Lyndon's Fishing: Catching Barramundi in Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia
I caught this nice barramundi in the aboriginal season of Bangerreng, which traditional owners call knock-em-down storm season in Kakadu, National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Bangerreng arrives at the end of the wet season (April). I feel strongly about providing a positive future for Jabiru and Kakadu. You can help us (local community) achieve this goal by visiting one day. Good luck on your next fishing trip. Regards, Lyndon Anlezark.

Kakadu is a life and death drama where man meets wild and nature calls the shots. Here on the flood plains and ancient sculptured escarpments of Australia's largest terrestrial national park, danger and great beauty are often the same. This is the World Heritage Listed site at its most magnificent and beguiling. But take care. Kakadu is wild. Deadly predators lie beneath the billabong surface and creep through the rugged stone towers.
Kakadu Klash. Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia.
The Kakadu Klash is an annual fishing event run by Aurora Kakadu South Alligator Resort. Located in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory, Australia.
It is held in the South Alligator River and is run over 3 days around April of each year. The idea is to combine each teams longest barramundi (barra) for each of the 3 days and they become the overall winner. Of course longest fish gains a prize also, etc etc.
The Top End of Australia is famous for its barra, it is a good fighting and sporty fish. But even better than that they taste delicious!
This brief video is how I viewed and contributed in a very small way.

EAST ALLIGATOR RIVER ABORIGINAL CULTURAL TOUR KAKADU NATIONAL PARK NT AUSTRALIA
CARAVAN TRIP 2007 The East Alligator River is approximately 160 kilometres long. After rising in the northern part of the Arnhem Land Plateau, it flows with tributary streams towards the northwest through magnificent canyons towards the Van Diemen Gulf which it meets at Point Farewell. The South Alligator River is also about 160 kilometres long. It rises north of Mount Stow also on the Arnhem Land plateau. It flows northwesterly in a valley containing a number of disused uranium mines developed between 1955 and 1965. It also finishes in the Van Diemen Gulf of the Timor Sea. The West Alligator River rises in the lowlands and is 80 kilometres long. The Wildman River also flows in the region. The river system has a number of spectacular waterfalls including the Jim Jim Falls on Jim Jim Creek and the Twin Falls on Twin Falls Creek. The rivers have created the alluvial plains including the mangrove swamp in the past 20,000 years. [edit] Climate Waterfall - Kakadu National Park after rainLike much of northern Australia, the Alligator Rivers region has a monsoon climate. The dry season lasts between May and September while the wet season lasts between November and March. April and October are transitional periods between the two months. Annual rainfall at Jabiru is approximately 1540 mm with almost all of it falling during the wet season. During the wet season, the prevailing winds are westerly to north-westerly while they are easterly to south-easterly during the dry season. The three Alligator Rivers are perennial rivers flowing even during the dry season as is the Wildman River. All of the tributaries dry up in places during that period. The land dries out, and the wildlife concentrates around the permanent water sources such as the rivers, springs, waterholes and billabongs. The duration of the dry period depends on the rainfall during the wet season. In a normal year, the tributaries will start flowing around the middle of December and finish at the end of June, but the flow will start in November and finish in August if the rainfall has been particularly heavy. During the wet season, the savanna turns green, the wildlife spreads out, the bird life returns and the streams flood into adjacent lands turning them into swamps. The flood plains leave behind silt when they gradually dry up during the wet season. WIKIPEDIA

The World's Scariest Crossing - dodging crocodiles at Kakadu National Park, Australia
This notorious river crossing is teeming with crocodiles, but that doesn’t stop motorists trying their luck, or even fisherman fighting for some tucker.

Kakadu National Park's wildlife rangers have the delicate task of protecting crocodile populations while ensuring locals and tourists to this popular Northern Territory destination remain safe.
Yellow Water Sunrise Cruise (Kakadu) - Lots of crocs!
A Yellow Water cruise is one of the best ways to experience the wetlands of Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. The sunrise and sunset cruises are very popular. On this particular sunrise cruise there were about a dozen large crocodiles in the vicinity of, and feeding on, a dead buffalo. There was also abundant bird life including Jabirus, Brolgas, eagles, several types of kingfishers and even a Willy Wag Tails nest of chicks.
A fabulous experience if you get the opportunity.

Cahill's Crossing - The World's Deadliest Crossing
Cahill’s Crossing is one of Australia’s most dangerous bodies of water in Australia. Each year, dozens of cars are washed into the river attempting to drive on Cahill Crossing. It’s an infamous feeding ground for saltwater crocodiles.
It’s a notorious for its croc infested waters and human misadventure. A crocodile once decapitated a man there in front of his friends.
Each year, dozens of drivers attempt to make it across the submerged crossing but instead end up being washed away into the croc infested waters. Others risk their lives by wading in the waters and fishing. Some even bring their children.
Crocodiles frequently congregate at the river crossing, to feast on swarms of fish that head upstream with changing tides. It is referred to as ‘floating fish behaviour’ and up to 40 crocodiles can be spotted together at the same time, a spectacle that attracts big crowds.
The area has become so well known, there are even viewing platforms to watch the crocodile feeding spectacle.
The crossing is popular with tourists and fishermen — despite warning signs that point out an extreme risk of saltwater crocodile attacks.
Yet some people continue to risk — and sometimes lose — their lives. Amateur fishermen, families including children and backpackers have been photographed standing in the water with crocodiles visibly nearby. World leading crocodile expert Grahame Webb says “that for every crocodile you can see, there are “10 you can’t”.
Thanks for watching
