支那の夜 (Negoro Cino) in Javanese
This song (though not this version of it) dates from 1938. Lyrics by Saijou Yaso, music by Takeoka Nobuyuki. It was originally sung by Watanabe Hamako. It accompanied a 1940 feature film by the same name.
According to Japanese wikipedia, it was very popular among Japanese soldiers during WW2; and eventually American soldiers also got fond of it (under the name China Baby in My Arms or China Night). If you google China Nights in English, you will get some anecdotes by American soldiers who remember this song from the Korean war.
All this seems to imply there ought to be a set of English lyrics floating about; all I've been able to locate of these is the Sakamoto Kyuu version which has one Japanese verse (the first) and one English verse. I've provided my best guess as to what's being said there, as it's juuust a little unclear at points.
And no, I don't know why you'd worry about your China baby telling you sayonara.
Shina (some versions of the lyrics write it in katakana, others use the kanji 支那) is an old Japanese word for China. Nowadays it's considered derogatory, and (again, according to wiki) so this song doesn't get a lot of airtime in Japan any more.
A kokyuu is technically a Japanese instrument similar to the Chinese erhu, which is properly called a niko in Japan. Kokyuu is (apparently) also used to refer to any Chinese erhu-esque instrument, which probably makes more sense in the context of, well, China; thus, in the translation I went with erhu.
There is a Satou Haruo story out there called Minoru-san no Kokyuu which is about a young migrant worker who goes to work in an overseas canning factory, contracts TB, and comes home to Japan to die; quarantined from most of his family, he spends his days playing a kokyuu he made while abroad out of a tin can. It's pretty depressing.
One the cans of pineapple Minoru-san brings as a souvenir (when he returns home to die) contains a human finger, which is even more depressing. And now you don't have to read it because I've spoiled it for you.
Endahing swasono, negoro Cino wayah bengi
Koyo sak jroning ngimpen, yen nyawang kaendhahan
Sinaring lampu-lampu kang maneko warno
Oh yakti, gawe kesengseming ati kang mirsani
Oh kang mirsani, oh negoro Cino
Endahing swasono, jroning ati tan biso lali
Swaraning kekidungan, gawe kekesing ati
Kidung asmoro kang yekti tan biso lali
Oh yakti, gawe kesengseming ati nora lali
Oh dadi ati, oh negoro Cino
Shina no yoru, negoro Cino wayah bengi
Koyo sak jroning ngimpen, lan swarganing ndonyo
Slawase tan biso lali tan biso lali
Oh yakti, gawe kesengseming ati kang mirsani
Oh dadi ati, yume no yoru
