Day trip to Kakku Pagodas/ Kakku Monastery, Taunggyi city centre, and Aythaya Vineyard
Follow Us as we share with you our day trip in Taunggyi, the largest city of Shan state, Myanmar.
We booked a car with tour guide from Klook. Our first stop is a visit to a hidden gem of Shan state - Kakku Pagodas/ Kakku Monastery, a site with about 2,500 ancient pagodas of distinct, intricate carvings in the hills east of Inle Lake. These pagodas dated as far back as a few centuries and was a rather majestic sight to behold.
We dropped by the Kakku Pagodas Market thereafter to experience the local way of life. After lunch, which consisted of traditional Myanmar dishes, we continued our journey to the city centre of Taunggyi.
We took a short walk around to explore the sights and sounds of the city centre before adjourning to Aythaya Vineyard, where we unwind with a tasting session of the wines produced by one of the only two vineyards in Myanmar to date.

Kakku Pagoda in Myanmar

This pagoda is located close to Inle Lake in Myanmar. It is hard to go to there and has to use car taxi or bike taxi. It takes a time for 2 hours from Taunggyi to Kakku. There is a train, but it is impossible to be sightseeing in Kakku Pagoda, because the departure from Kakku Pagoda is just 6:00am, and the departure of Taunggyi is 14:00.

ミャンマーのインレー湖の隣にあるカックー遺跡、カックーパゴダです。なかなか行きにくいところで、車のタクシー、バイクタクシーを使わないといけません。タウンジーから電車がありますが、タウンジー発が１４時、カックー発が朝の6時のみで、片道４時間かかるために観光することができません。
タウンジーからカックー遺跡まではバイク・車で、片道約２時間ほどかかります。インレー湖からですと、片道だけで３時間くらいかかります。時間があれば、行ってみてもよろしいかと思います。

ミャンマーのタウンジーには、カックーパゴダ（Kakku pagoda)遺跡があります。このパゴダは比較的小さなパゴダ群が密集しており、その光景は圧巻です。パゴダにトップには鈴が取り付けられており、風が吹くと心地よい音を奏でてくれます。

There is a famous pagoda in Taunggyi, Myanmar called Kakku pagoda. Each pagoda is relatively small but the view of pagodas are so impressive. A pagoda has a bell on the top and it makes very comfortable sound when wind blows. Please enjoy the video!

Kakku is about 33 miles from Taunggyi. Kakku is located in the Shan State. It is understood that the pagodas were built in TaiYai Style. However, the territory boundary may have been altered later (since what period we do not have the information ). thus the area is now taken care of by Pa-Oh. There are over 2500 stupas packed closely together in this square shape area.
We visited Taunggyi, Shan State to join the Annual Conference
