Space Tower Christmas in Kakuda, Japan
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) operates a rocket engine research center in the rural town of Kakuda, and the city embraces this space heritage in its civic events.
The most visible symbol of this is the full-scale 49m H-II rocket model overlooking the town.
For the season, with a theme of Let's enjoy Christmas a bit closer to space,
the rocket and surroundings were lit up with holiday illumination for visitors both local and from afar.
Surrounded by decorative illumination were a guitar ensemble mini concert, drawings for space-themed prizes, table magic shows and more for all ages.

The H-IIA (H2A) is a family of liquid-fuelled rockets providing an expendable launch system for the purpose of launching satellites into geostationary orbit. It is manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, or JAXA. Launches occur at the Tanegashima Space Center. On April 1, 2007, production and management of the H-IIA was shifted from JAXA to MHI. Flight 13 launching the lunar orbiter SELENE, was the first H-IIA launched after this privatization.

At 8:17 pm EDT tonight 0017 GMT from June 1, 9:17 am or June 1, local time, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JAXA will launch an H-2A rocket to send the navigation satellite Michibiki 2 in orbit.
You can see the start up of the JAXA directly. The broadcast will begin at 7:50 pm EDT 2350 GMT. The michibiki 2 is the second navigation satellite of Japan for the cultivation of the constellation of satellites quasi System Zenith QZSS of the country. The satellite will provide GPS-type services for Japan and the surrounding regions.
After the launch of the JAXA, you will have a couple of hours to nap before the next launch of a rocket, which will happen on Thursday morning. A probe rocket will launch from Wallops Flight Facility of NASA in Wallops Island, Virginia, at 4:27 am EDT 0827 GMT.
During the launch of Wallops, a small rocket probe Malemute Terrier-Improvement will launch an experiment to create bright artificial clouds in the sky before dawn. The rocket will eject small boats at altitudes of 92 and 124 miles 148 miles and 199 in order to test the eject vessel system itself, NASA officials said in a statement. The boats will release tracers of barium, strontium and cupric oxide that must create a bright vapor in the atmosphere.
