PREPARATION FOR NANDAN MELA--MIDDLE PART, KALA BHAVANA, VISVA BHARATI UNIVERSITY, SANTINIKETAN
The graduate fine arts section of Visva Bharati University, Kala Bhavana at Santiniketan, hosts an annual art fair 'Nandan Mela' on 1st and 2nd December to celebrate the birthday of the famous Bengal School Artist Sri Nandalal Bose, a founder of the Graduate Art School Kala Bhavana in 1919AD. The school was set up as envisioned by Rabindranath Tagore to explore and create an indigenous language of Art synthesized in the pristine atmosphere of a rural educational ashrama. Studenta and teachers of all departments of Kala Bhavana are right now engaged in making artefacts for a prompt sale in the Art Fair to be held on 1 & 2 December 2019. It's a busy and enjoyable time now at Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan. The final stage show will be posted on 2 December. Thanks.
