Did you know that 2000 MCG's worth of forest are being bulldozed each year?

Well, Welcome to Toolangi !!! This local community has been battling the self-interests of a handful loggers for decades!
Old growth forest ecologies such as Toolangi are vital to creating healthy water systems. Forests act as a sponge to soak water into our rivers and aquifers. Farmers are understanding the correlation and realising that the protection of Victoria's food and water security is inextricably linked to the protection of Victoria's magnificent Mountain Ash forests which are being rapidly logged.
The Great Forest National Park is a proposal to protect 350,000 hectares of forest in Victoria's central highlands, providing a viable solution to the pending ecological collapse. The GFNP would also bring new jobs and vibrancy to local communities away from the destructive native forest logging industry and aiding struggling towns recovering from the 2009 Black Saturday fires.
It's time Melbourne elected for the Great Forest National Park. A great city needs a great park!
