Things to do in KALBARRI, WESTERN AUSTRALIA | NATURES WINDOW, Pelican Feeding & Blue Holes
In this weeks video we wake up early to catch sunrise at Natures Window. We then watch the pelicans getting feed and check out the Blue Holes.
Next week - We head back to Perth stopping in at the actual viewing spot of Hutt Lagoon aka Pink Lake. Then we stop in at Geraldton for lunch and a few sights.

이번엔 내가 운전대를 잡았다. 장거리 여행에선 이렇게 번갈아 가며 운전을 해야 안전하다. 도대체 직선도로만 몇 시간째 인지 모르겠다. 운전이 조금 지루해질 때쯤 풍경이 달라졌다. 예쁜 야생화들이 온몸으로 봄을 알리고 있다. 남반구의 봄소식은 우리와 달리 북에서부터 내려온다. 난 봄의 향기에 흠뻑 취했다. 자그마한 서호주의 휴양도시인 칼바리에 도착한 시간은 오전 9시. 사람들이 삼삼오오 모여서 어디론가 가고 있다. 사람들에 이끌려 나도 따라가 봤다. 그때, 생각지도 못한 펠리컨들이 찾아왔다. 덩치가 꽤 커서 놀랐다. “이제 곧 펠리컨 먹이를 준다고 해요” 먹이 얘기를 들은 걸까 얌전하던 녀석들이 갑자기 부산해진다. “펠리컨 먹이 주러 칼바리에 온 걸 환영 합니다. 작은 통을 여기 위에 놓을게요. 우리가 하는 일에 참여하고 싶은 분들은 하시면 돼요” 한 사람씩 펠리컨에게 먹이를 던져 주는데, 먹이를 잘 받아먹는 폼이 여간 능숙한 게 아니었다. 펠리컨의 먹이가 궁금해졌다. “이건 뭔가요?” “정어리예요” 나도 한번 먹이를 줘봤다. 역시 잘 받아먹는다. 이렇게 먹이를 주는 일이 벌써 40년째 라고 한다. “매일 아침 8시 45분에 먹이를 주는데 어떤 때는 한 마리만 있을 수도 있고 어떤 때는 15마리까지 와요. 아침마다 정어리 한 통을 먹이죠” “영국에는 펠리컨이 없어요. 오직 여기서만 볼 수 있어요” “예전에 볼 수 없었던 펠리컨들이 정말 예뻐요. 어디에서도 볼 수 없는 낯선 광경이었어요” 이렇게 사람과 동물이 함께 즐거운 도시가 부러웠다.
