So last week we went to Darbhanga House which is situated on the banks of river Ganga in Patna, Bihar. This stunning property belonged to Maharaja Rameshwar Singh from the royal family of Darbhanga. He not only donated this palatial house to Patna University but also played an important role in introducing Maithili as a subject in the university. Currently, this is where Patna University's post graduate departments are.
