Another America: A Testimonial to the Amish by Robert Weingarten
Robert Weingarten spent four years photographing Amish communities in Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The culmination of this work is Another America: A Testimonial to the Amish.
Mostly black-and-white, Weingarten's exquisitely composed photographs depict aspects of everyday Amish life—children at play, horse-drawn carriages, laundry on clotheslines—along with pastoral scenes and simple compositions of Amish architecture.

STORYLINE
Rescue operations continued on Tuesday as authorities tried to locate seven missing US tourists, two days after their boat capsized off the coast of Mexico.
At least one American tourist, besides the seven missing, has been confirmed dead and identified by Mexican officials as Leslie Yee of Ceres, California.
On Tuesday, the shipmates who survived the wreck anxiously awaited word as the Mexican navy and the US Coast Guard expanded their search in the Gulf of California, holding out hope that the missing were able to survive in the gulf's balmy waters.
One Mexican navy captain said they were increasing resources and moving their search area south of Gonzaga bay, a coastal town south of the port of San Felipe where efforts concentrated Monday.
Rescue teams were also coordinating efforts with officials across the gulf in the northern state of Sonora because shipwreck survivors in the region sometimes are swept far away by fast tides.
Steven Kashkett, from the United States consul to Tijuana, said during a meeting in San Felipe that both governments were working together to coordinate the rescue efforts, a sentiment echoed by Jose Guadalupe Osuna, the Governor of Baja California.
One of the survivors, Gary Wong, said he still held out hope that the rescuers would find his brother Brian and added that he planned to stay until all the missing were found.
A local TV station in California erroneously reported earlier that Brian Wong, who works in personnel for Alameda County and has two grown daughters, was among the dead, leaving the family to calm his frantic wife.
A sudden storm struck early Sunday, capsizing the 115-foot (35-metre) vessel, the Erik. The crew and the fishermen clung to coolers, rescue rings and life vests for more than 16 hours.
The navy and other fishing boats plucked 19 fishermen and all 16 crew members from the water late Sunday.
The vessel sank about 60 miles (100 kilometres) south of San Felipe.
Sunday was the second day of a week long fishing trip the group had organised for several years each Independence Day holiday.
The search was expanded to a wider area and continued with helicopters and aircraft.
Around 60 hours have passed since the accident.

The Amana Colony is seven villages on 26,000 acres located in Iowa County in east-central Iowa, United States: Amana , East Amana, High Amana, Middle Amana, South Amana, West Amana, and Homestead. The villages were built and settled by German Pietists, who were persecuted in their homeland by the German state government and the Lutheran Church.Calling themselves the Community of True Inspiration , they first settled in New York near Buffalo in what is now the Town of West Seneca. However, seeking more isolated surroundings, they moved to Iowa in 1856.

EYRNE 170 - Oxford Iowa at Exit 230 on Interstate 80 Sleepy at Sleepy Hollow Campground
The World's Largest Road Trip visits Oxford, Iowa, at exit 230 on I-80! A great end to a day full of exits, and a great beginning to another hot day in Iowa! This time we stopped at exit 230 on I-80, which doesn't hold too much for tourists except a place to sleep (ie the Sleepy Hollow Campground) and Oxford, IA, home to just about 1,000 Iowans. The Kalona Historical Village was about 10 miles north of the exit, so if you're interested if either the titles Quilt Capitol of SE Iowa or the Largest Amish Settlement West of the Mississippi, then that trip will be well worth the extra 15 minutes or so.
We stopped at the Sleepy Hollow Campground to reserve a site for the night - although the sun was just setting, it doesn't get dark during the summertime until about 9:30pm or so. Then we drove about 10 more minutes towards Oxford, IA, where we ate at Old Roy's and had GREAT burgers! There was some kind of bags tournament going on outside, and the locals all seemed very friendly and welcoming.
All in all, a neat little exit that doesn't seem to hold too much at first, but the more you learn about it and explore - the more you find. From a well-kept RV/campground to a small town over 150 years old, to the quilt capitol of Southeast Iowa - you're in for a treat.
