Kaloya Park is situated on a peninsula with lake views of both Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake. The regional park includes two small sandy beaches, picnic tables, gazebo, large grass lawns and viewing benches.
We arrived at Kaloya Regional Park just as the sun was setting. Colourful Autumn leaves lined the shoreline, while the calm turquoise waters of Kalamalka Lake sparkled at golden hour.

Okanagan Rail Trail | Lake Country BC | DJI Drone
Spring is in the air! For Lake Country residents that means a reawakening of activity. We start our biking adventure at the south of Wood Lake making our way to Oyama via the Okanagan Rail Trail.
The Okanagan Rail Trail used to be rail corridor connecting Vernon BC (and surrounding communities) to Kelowna BC. The Canadian National Railway owned it for decades and sold it to the Kelowna Pacific Railway in the year 2000. Operations ended in July of 2013 when the Kelowna Pacific Railway entered receivership. After the defunct rail line sat unused for a while, an idea to create a walking and biking trail was born. The trail would stretch from Vernon to Kelowna, (approximately 50 kms) and would require the cooperation of each community, local governments, the provincial government, and millions of dollars of public and private donations in order to purchase, and acquire the land. Fast forward to the year 2019 and that dream has now become a beautiful reality.
This trail is suitable for all ages and abilities. You can walk, cycle, or jog and is great fun for the whole family!

A clear blue sunny day out in Peachland British Columbia. We took a little day trip to Beach Avenue and up into the hills of Peachland BC near Eagles View to get some aerial DJI drone footage on such a stunning day. Although it was incredibly windy and cold the Okanagan Lake and surrounding hills looked amazing. Bliss Bakery's scones were phenomenal as always, we will definitely be back to hike Pin Cushion this summer!
