Biyahing Japan Daikannon and Chuson-ji Golden Temple
The Kamaishi Daikannon (釜石大観音) is a 48.5 meter tall, white statue depicting Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy. Completed in 1970 on a peninsula south of central Kamaishi, the Daikannon holds a fish and stands facing out to sea in order to watch over Kamaishi's sailors and ensure that they have a bountiful catch.
Hiraizumi's most famous attraction, Chusonji (中尊寺, Chūsonji) was established in 850 as a temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism. The temple came to prominence when the northern branch of the Fujiwara clan moved their base to Hiraizumi. At its peak, the temple consisted of a large network of dozens of buildings.

日本の産業の近代化の先駆けとして、1858年に操業された製鉄所。半世紀のうちに産業国家として地位を確立するほどこの場所には多くの人々の情熱と汗が集まり近代化が進む礎となりました。2015年、世界遺産に登録されたこの橋野鉄鉱山は鉄鉱石の採掘場跡や高炉場跡などから構成される鉄鉱山と製鉄所の総称。現地のガイドさんのお話しを聞きながら高炉跡に実際に触れて、往時を回想してみるのがオススメです。

Sendai Dai Kannon （仙台大観音） Temple, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture
Sendai Dai Kannon (literally means Tall kannon) temple （仙台大観音） is located in Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Sendai Dai Kannon is a figure of Byakui Kannon Bosatsu. She is called Byakui Kannon Jizaibo, who creates every Kannon Bosatsu. She has Nyoihouju in her right hand. It makes a wish. She has Mizugame (Water Jar) in the left hand. It gives water of wisdom.
The Kannon is about 100 meters high. This temple was created as a memorial of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Sendai City.
Attached to the elevator shaft are 108 Buddhist images called Hyakuhattai-Hotoke. In the first floor there are statues of twelve guardian dieties and thirty three Kannon Bosatsu.

フィジー出身のジョーが釜石を旅して、ラグビーだけじゃない町の魅力を感じて来ました。今回たどり着いたのは・・・町の高台の上にある釜石大観音です。

この大観音は釜石市の海の安全、様々な理由で亡くなった方々への供養、現在を生きる私たちの心願成就、世界平和を祈るために1970年に建立されました。像の高さは48.5メートル。胎内には三十三観音が展示され、釜石市が”魚の町”でもあることから、そのうちの10番目にあたる”魚籃観音”が祀られています。祀られた像たちを眺めながら胎内を登ると展望台があり、海抜は120m。町や周囲の海を遠くまで見渡せます。

Height of that is 48.5m. There are 33kinds Kannon, and 10th Gyoran Kannon is deified because Kamaishi is the city of fish. After going in that with viewing deified statue, you can arrive at the sightseeing tower. The above sea level is 120m. You can see the city and the sea.

Sendai Daikannon is the tallest statue of Nyoirin Kannon in the world. As of 2018, it is one of the top five tallest statues in the world at 100 meters (330 ft). At its completion in 1991, it was the tallest statue in the world, but has since been surpassed.
