Japan Yokote 28122017. From Akita train station you can take a train about 55minutes to Yokote.The famous dish in Yokote is Yaki Soba. Yokote is famous for their Kamakura something like the Igloo. Yokote has a Kamakura festival in February whereby Kamakuras are built and light up. Quite a beautiful sight. In fact some scenes in a famous Korean drama IRIS were shot in Yokote. We only managed to walk from station to the Kamakura museum. From there to the castle needs to drive another 15 minutes. So we were not able to walk to the castle in the blizzard. Dissappointed we walked back to the station and enjoyed the onsen near the station. Not bad, especially in this blizzard situation.

Japanese Mask Festival in Kamakura - Menkake Gyoretsu
On September 18th, the little Goryo Shrine in Kamakura puts on a small but unique festival where the participants wear masks which are over two centuries old. The festival is held in honor of the enshrined spirit of Kamakura Kagemasa a famed samurai warrior of the 11th Century popularly known as Gongoro.

重要伝統的建造物群保存地区-横手市増田-
秋田県南部、冬は雪深い横手市増田地区。
明治前期から戦前にかけて建てられた、主屋・内蔵・外蔵を「トオリ」と呼ばれる土間で結ぶ商家町屋が残る町並みは、平成２５年１２月２７日、国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定されました。
現在確認されているものとして、48棟ある内蔵は全てが戦前以前の建築で、明治時代前期～中期(明治1-29年)までと大正時代(大正1-15年)に多く建てられていることが分かっています。また56棟ある外蔵は、概ね戦前の建築と考えられます。
内蔵はものを納める文庫蔵だけではなく、むしろ内部に床の間を配した座敷間を有する「座敷蔵」が多いのが特徴で、公開日にはそれらを見ることができる蔵もあります。

Yokote City in Akita Prefecture is one of the areas with the heaviest snowfall in Japan. Masuda – situated in the southeast of this city.
There are still many traditional streets and uchigura in Masuda Town that tell us of the prosperity at that time. This area was listed as an important traditional architectures preservation district by the government in response to an extremely high evaluation of its cultural value in 2013.
Japan Travel Vlog Part II - Kamakura and Mt Fuji
Part II of my Tokyo Travel. I was supposed to be in Mt. Fuji but all the earlier bus is already full and thank you for the extensive railway network of Tokyo, it is easier to change plan and look for alternative places easily accessible from Tokyo. I went to Kamakura and visited the Great Buddha and Bamboo Forest in Hokokuji Temple. The following day, I made sure i will get an early ticket to Shibazakura Festival in Kawaguchico and say hello to Mt. Fuji.
Ps. I just realize after making this video that my facial expressions are sooooo boring ????????????. Will try to improve it and try my best to make it more lively on my next travel vlog.

【駅探訪No.31】JR奥羽本線・北上線 横手駅にて(At Yokote Station on the JR Ou and Kitakami Line)
横手駅は、焼きそばとかまくらで有名な秋田県横手市にあるJR奥羽本線・北上線の駅。一日平均乗車人員は1,427人（2010年）の横手市の中心駅です。そんな横手駅で、駅周辺や構内、列車の発着風景を撮影してみました。
Yokote station, located at Yokote City in Akita Prefecture, Japan, is a station of JR Ou main line and Kitakami line. Yokote City is famous for Yokote yakisoba (fried noodle) and kamakura (snow hut) festival in every February. I took this movie of station, vicinity, and trains at Yokote station.

The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura was completed in 1951 by the pond in the temple grounds of the Tsuruoka
Hachimangu Shrine.

Koto End of Kamakura period (Genkou era/circa 1331 -)
Length of cutting edge 77.8cm
Curvature 2.5cm
Width of base 31.6 mm
Thickness of base 6.6mm
Width of Yokote 19.6mm
Blade construction : Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune, Long Tachi that retains the nearly original shape holding the waist pointed deep curve that stands firmly on base leading to a medium Kissaki.
The entire shape appears to the representative classical grace of the Medieval Kamakura Period.
Forging (Hada) : Forging is Itame-hada mixing with streaming indication.
The entire forging appears conspicuously visible and it's surface is deeply covered in speckled Utsuri reflection.
The entire steel is a bit on darkish side and forging scene is full of classical grace.
Temper (Hamon) : Hamon is a bit on stronger side Ko-Nie based, Notare undulating mixing with small or irregular Gunome.
Some Hotsure fray indication appears along quench area.
The interior of temper is filled with foggy crystallize area deeply and shows abundant activity of thick Nie-Ashi or floating dots of YOU.
The entire quench scene is a bit on dimmer side in the soft and soaked hard metal granules of Nie with deep foggy Nioi.
Temper of tip (Boshi) : Quench of Boshi is irregular Midarekomi with Yakizume end of no return.
Tang (Nakago) : Nakago is a slight Sugiage shortened on about 3-sun (9cm). Two Mekugiana holes. Upper the Nakago indicates horizontal Kiri file marks and lower original area shows Ō-sujikai (greatly slanting left).
Tachi-style inscription signature NAGAMITSU 長光 which is full of the elegance of antiquity clearly appears on Shinogi-ji above original mekugi-ana.
Ancient times, culture of steel was introduced into Tōhoku region, possibly earlier than other routes, from the Eurasian Continent through Mamiya (Tatar) Straights, leading to Hokkaido and Tohoku region.There is also a theory that the etymology Tatara 踏鞴 of the iron melting blower originates in Tatar exactly .
According to Nihonto Meikan,
NAGAMITSU 長光 who belonged to Mokusa 舞草 group in Ōshu Tohoku region (among Mokusa, Tamatsukuri and Gassani) was active end Kamakura. After the Northern Fujiwara (奥州藤原氏 Ōshu Fujiwara-shi) was overwhelmed by Minamoto no Yoritomo 源頼朝 in 1189, most artisans of Mokusa 舞草 school were scattered in all directions and some accepted and agreed with an invitation by the Yamato first Imperial government to come to metropolis Kyoto to take the lead of Hasebe 長谷部 or Heianjo 平安城 group.
The subject NAGAMITSU 長光 who belonged to Mokusa 舞草 school is assumed to move to Kyoto to set up Heianjo 平安城 school
The subject NAGAMITSU 長光 Tachi that preserves clearly legible of inscription over the ages of almost 700 years, shows a typical workmanship of Northern region that holds major features Origin of Japanese sword Tachi - extraordinary deep waist point curve and less volume of Hiraniku for Nakago that both have close resemblance to one of Kenuki-style Tachi in early stage.
Although it is a bit Sugiage shortened by 3-sun (9cm), it still holds the original figure from Kamakura period with wide Funbari standing firmly on base. Steel gives off reflections of mottled sparkling effect Whitish-Utsuri that comes from ancient Middle Ages 14th C.
NBTHK (Tokubetsu Hozon) certificate of authenticity says it's age End of kamakura and no determination of the region due to immigration history of NAGAMITSU 長光
Recent very good polish/Condition scale: excellent-very good (using a scale of mint-excellent-very good-good-fair-poor).

Hase-Dera - Kamakura - 長谷寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Hase-dera or Hasedera is a temple of the Jodo sect located in Kamakura and famous for its 9.18m tall eleven headed Kannon statue, the goddess of mercy. According to the legend, this Kannon statue was in fact carved from the same tree as the also famous but taller, Kannon statue located in the Nara Hasedera Temple.
While it is not always possible to take photos or videos of this magnificent statue, visitors enjoy its splendor all year long.
It is also worth noting that the Hase-Dera Temple in Kamakura is extremely popular in autumn for its many magnificent maple trees.

Hase-dera, ou Hasedera si vous préférez, est un temple de la secte Jodo situé à Kamakura et est réputé pour sa statue de 9,18m de haut représentant Kannon, la déesse de la compassion. La légende raconte que cette statue aurait été sculptée à partir du même arbre que la statue Kannon du temple Hasedera de Nara, qui est aussi célèbre, mais plus grande.
Bien qu’il ne soit pas toujours possible de la prendre en photo, les visiteurs peuvent toutefois profiter de la splendeur de cette statue toute l’année.
Il est bon de noter que le temple Hase Dera de Kamakura devient encore plus populaire en automne grâce à ses magnifiques érables.

Wisata Jepang: Arsitektur gassho-zukuri tradisional, Museum Rakyat Gifu Jepang Gifu 22 Moopon
Desa Suganuma, salah satu situs wisata utama dari Gokayama, terdiri dari 2 area, Desa Suganuma dan Gokayama Gassho no Sato. Ada terowongan yang menghubungkan dua area dan tempat parkir di bukit yang menghadap ke desa via lift jadi anda bisa siap menjelajah dengan berjalan kaki.
Ada 9 rumah kebun gassho-zukuri di Desa Suganuma dan mereka ditunjuk sebagai Situs Warisan Dunia UNESCO bersama dengan Ainokura dan Ogimaschi pada 1995. Perkebunan disini telah dijaga dengan baik dan pengunjung bisa menjelajah di desa yang indah dan menyenangkan ini. Beberapa dari mereka diubah menjadi restoran, minshuku, dan museum yang memajang kehidupan sehari-hari dan sejarah kertas washi dan industri sendawa yang mendukung wilayah ini.
Gokayama Gassho no Sato memiliki banyak rumah kebun tradisional yang telah dipindahkan kesini dengan tujuan melindungi mereka dari kehancuran. Walaupun tidak ada yang tinggal disini, mereka lebih digunakan oleh sekelompok sekolah yang menginap di rumah ini dan merasakan aktvitas dari kehidupan tradisional Gokayama.
Dengan Bus
Suganuma adalah halte disepanjang rute bus antara Shirakawago dan Stasiun Shin-Takaoka di JR Hokuriku Shinkansen. Memakan waktu 30 menit dengan bus untuk 1 kali jalan dari Shirakawago ke Suganuma dan biayanya 860 yen. Dan juga memakan waktu sekitar 80 menit dan biaya 1200 yen (lihat jadwal) dari Stasiun Shin-Takaoka.
Alternatifnya, beberapa bus sepanjang rute bus antara halte Kanazawa dan Shirakawago di Suganuma disepanjang jalan, namun hanya mungkin mengambil bus dari arah Kanazawa dan turun bus di arah Ogimachi, tapi bukan versi sebaliknya (lihat jadwal dan rincian biaya).
Dengan Mobil
Dari Ogimachi, Suganuma bisa diakses sekitar 30 menit sepanjang Rute Nasional 156. Anda bisa menyimpan beberapa jam dengan beberapa menit menaiki Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway antara Shirakawago dan Gokayama IC (570 yen tol ekspres). Dari gokayama IC, Ainokura bisa dicapai dengan 2 menit.
Museum Rakyat Gokayama
Museum rakyat ini mengenalkan peralatan dan perabotan rumah tangga yang digunakan sehari-hari. Peralatan ini digunakan untuk berkebun, beternak ulat sutra dan membuat kertas washi.
