Japanese Street Food at Kamakura is a can't miss street food tour destination. This is your Japan Street Food good for the Kamakura area and more specifically Komachi Dori also known as komachi street, which runs parallel to Kamakura’s main street, Waka miya oji. Komachi street is a long straight shopping street with about 250 shops and within it a variety of can’t miss food spots making this area a street food lover’s paradise. Komachi Dori showcases a street food market type atmosphere and is perfect for food tourism. It's only about 1 hour away from Shibuya and Shinjuku so it's a perfect food getaway. But don't be surprised on the weekend as there are plenty of crowds. The best time to go is during the weekday if possible. Since so many people come to Kamakura to go to Shrines and Temples, it's definitely a popular tourist destination for Japan Travelers. This eating show takes you through Kamakura and shows you the foods that Japanese eat.

Kamakura (鎌倉市 Kamakura-shi) is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Although Kamakura proper is today rather small, it is often described in history books as a former de facto capital of Japan, the nation's most populous settlement from 1200 to 1300 AD as the seat of the shogunate and of the Regency during the Kamakura period. Kamakura was designated as a city on November 3, 1939.
As of September 1, 2016, the modern city has an estimated population of 172,302, and a population density of 4,358.77 persons per km2. The total area is 39.53 km2 (15.26 sq mi).
As a coastal city with a high number of seasonal festivals, as well as ancient Buddhist and Shinto shrines and temples, Kamakura is a popular tourist destination within Japan.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Komachi Street〜
Komachi-dori Street spreads from the rotary in front of Kamakura station to the north toward Kamakura Hachiman-gu. According to legend, it started as a market opened in front of the shrine. Today, the street is lined with over 250 restaurants, boutiques, fancy cafes, Japanese-style sweet cafes, and stores selling souvenirs and sundry articles unique to the ancient city. Many side streets branch of from both sides of Komachi-dori Street. Stepping into narrow alleys you will find old Western-style houses with an historic atmosphere and hidden traditional stores. Enjoy discovery while walking around.

A Day Trip To Tokyo's Coastal Town, Kamakura! | Solo Travel Japan Vlog
If you're looking for an easy little escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, just one hour away is the gorgeous coastal town of Kamakura!
Full of Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples to explore (and LOTS of delicious street food stalls to visit on the way!), Kamakura is a quick and culture-filled day trip spot.
After six visits to Japan, visiting this seaside city was heavily underlined on my to-travel-to list, and I finally made that a reality for #hijessicanneinjapan season 3! And spoiler alert, it was 100% as lovely to visit as everyone says it is.

Today we are continuing our day in Kamakura. We'll be heading to Tsurugaoka Shrine and walk around the city!
Kamakura Japan is located in Kanagawa prefecture and is really a beautiful place today. In this series I will give you my Kamakura travel guide and show you everything from giant Buddha statues to Kamakura beach.
The purpose of this channel is to hopefully give people an honest look at life in Japan, give you the tools to experience it in an authentic way and get outside of the typical Japan Travel Tips. There is so much of Japan to see that isn’t covered in the typical guide books and I hope my future Tokyo vlog will help people access those experiences. For the first few months however, I will be putting out more of the typical Japan vlogs and helpful videos to get you around this city!

Day trip from TOKYO to KAMAKURA | Japan Travel Vlog
Using our Japan Rail Pass, we went from Shinjuku to Kamakura by train. Tokyo's nearest beach with an old town to stroll around eating and drinking.

We had one day left on our Japan Rail Pass, so we decided to do a last minute trip to Kamakura. An hour train ride from Shinjuku, we went to the nearest beach and strolled around the town.

Curry place I wanted to go to - ZUSHI-CURRY but a lot of them were closed on Tuesdays so went to Caraway instead

Kamakura is a great place to eat out! I found so many great restaurants, cafes and bars!
