Kamchatka Vlog Russia
I was absolutely lost in Time! The video starts in beginning of January - not December :)
This video is filmed in Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East of Russia.
This time I went there in January-February and there was lots of snow.
Usually, there is more snow in February - March.
There is a lot to show, but it is not easy to put everything in one video!
So I will come back and will show you guys more : )
Kamchatka is a wild and remote peninsula in the Pacific Ocean and you can get there by plane only.
It is home to many volcanoes, hot springs and amazing ski slopes.
I went to Moroznaya for snowboarding and I was staying for a few days at the Severnye Prikluchenia resort (park-hotel). This is a short review of this place in the video as the first half of this clip was filmed there.
The food is amazing there with lots of fresh seafood local dishes that you can find only in Kamchatka.
I may need to film another vlog only about Kamchatka food! :)
Reach me out on instagram and say hello if you watched this video!

More information about the video content bellow:
1. Kamchatka Krai is a federal subject (a krai) of Russia. It is geographically located in the Far East region of the country. The largest active volcano in the northern hemisphere and brown bear scooping up salmon – you can see both in Russia’s barely touched Kamchatka Peninsula. Without a doubt, this sub-Arctic, 1250km-long finger of land in the Russian Far East is one of the top places on Earth for pristine habitats and abundant wildlife, despite being covered in snow and ice most of the year.
2. Kamchatka, like much of Arctic Siberia and North America, was originally sparsely inhabited by native tribes. In the 16th century, spurred by tales of a land of fire that was rich in fish and furs, Kamchatka was claimed by Muscovite Russia. Two settlements were built by Cossacks in 1697 as fur trading posts.
3. Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is the largest city and capital of Kamchatka Krai, and home to over half of the krai's population.
4. The Pacific Plate is subducted beneath the Okhotsk plate just miles off Kamchatka's coast, and the peninsula is extremely geologically active. Two of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded shook the peninsula in 1737 and in 1952 at 9.3 and 9.0 magnitude respectively. The latter caused a tsunami which ravaged Hawaii and even reached as far as New Zealand and Chile. In addition to these two mega-quakes, powerful earthquakes occur quite often. A 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurs roughly every 3–5 years with a 7.0 quake occurring roughly every 10–15 years.
5. Kamchatka Krai is an active volcanic zone which is home to Kluchevskaya, the largest volcano in Eurasia, and the Decade Volcanoes of Avachinsky and Koryaksky.
6. Kamchatka is the real “bear state” of the Russian Federation. According to various estimates, there are between 15,000 and 30,000 bears here. Such a high concentration of bears cannot be found anywhere else not only in Russia, but in the whole world.
7. The Valley of Geysers is a geyser field on Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, and has the second largest concentration of geysers in the world. This six-kilometre-long basin with approximately 90 geysers and many hot springs is situated on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Temperatures have been found to be 250 °C, 500 m below the caldera ground. It is part of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve, which, in turn, is incorporated into the World Heritage Site Volcanoes of Kamchatka. The valley is difficult to reach, with helicopters providing the only feasible means of transport.

Kamchatka- Living on the edge of the Eruption Zone
Kamchatka is one of the Worlds deadliest volcanoes. This documentary explores the folklore and history of this Volcano, and how people live on the edge of the eruption zone, in sight of the beautiful yet deadly Kamchatka volcano.
NHK Russias Heart of Fire The Kamchatka Peninsula
Science Documentary hosted by Peter Venn, published by NHK broadcasted as part of NHK Great Nature series in 2013 - English narration.
Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire where most of the world's volcanoes can be found. It's a land densely clustered with volcanoes -- many still active. While making this program, the camera crew was able to capture footage from the sky and on the ground. They even got very close to the lava dome of the most dangerous volcano in Eurasia, and fumaroles -- fissures that release steam and volcanic gases. In addition, this adventure includes a visit to a mysterious caldera that creates a number of different minerals. Take a look at this peninsula, pulsating with the primal rhythms of the planet.

Beautiful Kamchatka, drone footage
My first DJI Mavic movie. I am in the very beginning of learning to shoot and to edit. I spent 5 months in 2017 shooting those wonderful places in Kamchatka, where I actually live (there are also some scenes, that were shot earlier).
I am also organising trips to Kamchatka.

Where did the Ancestors of Native Americans come from?
I came up with BeKeSe (Best Kept Secrets) to draw everyone’s attention to lesser-known wonderful things other people have created over the years, whether it is a building, clothing, a legend, a tradition, a village, or an entire country.
BeKeSe is not just about traveling to see something, but to feel the creative energy, even from your couch. I chose the ones I absolutely love. Many of them are places of mystery, secrecy, magic, legends, and allure. While the videos are edited by me only some of the photographs are taken by me. I am grateful to the others that have contributed.
I would love your feedback, suggestions and artistic contribution to help BeKeSe grow. I hope you enjoy, like, and share the videos.

KAMCHATKA PENINSULA. RUSSIA. ПОЛУОСТРОВ КАМЧАТКА. 2017-08
The Kamchatka Peninsula (Russian: полуо́стров Камча́тка, Poluostrov Kamchatka, IPA: [pəlʊˈostrəf kɐmˈt͡ɕætkə]) is a 1,250-kilometre-long (780 mi) peninsula in the Russian Far East, with an area of about 270,000 km2 (100,000 sq mi). The Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Okhotsk make up the peninsula's eastern and western coastlines, respectively. Immediately offshore along the Pacific coast of the peninsula runs the 10,500-metre (34,400-ft) deep Kuril–Kamchatka Trench.
The Kamchatka Peninsula, the Commander Islands, and Karaginsky Island constitute the Kamchatka Krai of the Russian Federation. The vast majority of the 322,079 inhabitants are ethnic Russians, but about 13,000 Koryaks (2014) live there as well. More than half of the population lives in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (179,526 in 2010) and nearby Yelizovo (38,980).
The Kamchatka peninsula contains the volcanoes of Kamchatka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Kamchatka receives up to 2,700 mm (110 in) of precipitation per year. The summers are moderately cool, and the winters are rather stormy, but the storms rarely produce lightning.
KAMCHATKA: VOLCANOES & BEARS
The Kamchatka Peninsula, rugged and remote, is a vast blade of land stabbing southwestward through cold seas from the mainland of northeastern Russia. Its coastline is scalloped like the edges of an obsidian dagger. Its highlands rise to cone-shaped volcanic peaks, snow-streaked in summer, and to ridges of barren rock. It's a wild place where at least 20 percent of all wild Pacific salmon go to spawn each year, creating an annual feeding frenzy for the local brown bear population - National Geographic
