Tamba Kameyama Castle Ruins Park - Kyoto -亀山城 - 4K Ultra HD
Located in the center of Kameoka (Kyoto) you will find the ruins of the Tamba Kameyama Castle. It was built in 1578 by Akechi Mitsuhide as the headquarters for his attacks on the Tanba area. In 1609, Tokugawa Ieyasu, who controlled the area, worked in renovating this castle and used it as well as his HQ for attacks on Osaka Castle.
Now in ruins, there is nothing left of the castle. The whole ground has been owned by the Oomoto religious sect since 1919! Also, according to this very same sect, this place is their second most important spiritual center and now has the official name of Ten'on-kyo or the Birthplace of Heavenly Benevolence.
Despite its current condition and being part of a religious sect, the Tamba Kameyama Castle ruins feature a nice park that is worth visiting during the autumn foliage. If you happen to be around Kameoka in autumn make sure to check this place out!

Ryotan-ji - Kyoto - 龍潭寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Located in Kameoka in Kyoto prefecture just 12 minutes away by train from Arashiyama, it is also known as Kyoto’s bamboo forest. Ryotan-ji or Ryotanji is among the three major temples of the Rinzai Myoshin-ji sect. According to the temple owner, Ryotan-ji’s history goes as far back as 1480 when Sekkososhin VI of Myoshinji Temple in the Kyoto Hanazono area built Daibaiji Temple with the support of Hosokawa Masamoto, a governor of Tamba Province.

Japan Oomoto Priestess Walking
A brief glimpse into the world of Oomoto, Japan from my visit in 2008. Here the head priestess is performing a slow walking dance to the chanting. I don't always know where my influences come from, but this and the other demonstrations that evening play some part in my feeling when I share walking practices. - Anthony [easternpeace.co.uk]

Sunpu Castle and Momijiyama Garden - Shizuoka - 駿府城 紅葉山庭園 - 4K Ultra HD
Located in Shizuoka City, Sunpu Castle, also known as Fuchi Castle and on some occasions the “Castle of the Floating Isle” because of its design and surrounding moats. It was supposedly built between 1560 and 1585 by Tokugawa Ieyasu. Burned down in 1653, most of the Sunpu Castle has been rebuilt, including the castle gate and other buildings, but strangely not the Donjon.
Despite being a recent addition to the castle grounds, the Momiji-yama Garden (or Momijiyama Garden) is a nice little garden where you can enjoy a small reproduction of Mt. Fuji surrounded by some tea trees mimicking the tea industry around the iconic mountain. Rather compact the garden is still a pleasant surprise and a nice way for you to get some rest while enjoying some of Shizuoka’s finest green tea!

Kyoto Yoshimine-Dera - 善峯寺 - 4K Ultra HD
Note : This version replace the previously uploaded video of the Yoshimine-Dera temple. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Kyoto Yoshimine-Dera - 善峯寺 - 4K Ultra HD : Yoshimie-dera or Yoshimiedera (善峯寺) is a temple of the Tendai school of Buddishm located in the mountains of Kyoto's western ward of Nishikyō-ku which overlooks the city.
Established in 1029 as a personal retreat for a priest from Enryakuji, named Gesan, Yoshimie-dera was destroyed in 1467 during the Omin war and later rebuilt in 1621. The temple's main objects of worship are a Kannon statue carved by Gesan himself and a Kannon statue given to the temple by Emperor Gosuzaku in 1042.
Surprisingly unpopular among foreign tourists, Yoshimie-dera is an amazing and spacious temple featuring many buildings and protected by a surrounding forest that, once a year in autumn, give you one of Kyoto’s most amazing scenes.
