Japanese washi paper is renowned across the world for its high quality. It has long been used in sliding doors and screens, and forms an essential part of Japanese life. Experience producing this washi paper that has survived to the modern day in the crafts and manufacturing quarter of Higashi-Osaka. First, washi paper ingredients suspended in water are scooped onto a wooden frame and the base of the paper is created. Add seasonal flowers to suit whatever you make, be it a postcard, tapestry or table mat. The paper has to dry before it's finished.
