Each year, the City of Kamloops receives 10% of net revenue generated by Cascades Casino and Chances Kamloops to fund local initiatives. The City allocated a portion of these funds to improve the Kamloops Rivers Trail so all residents and visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the Thompson River all year-round.

Hiking Robbins creek Kamloops BC (Michael Paul Wright 2018)
This was my second trip to Robbins creek to find and hike to these falls, and this time time I didnt get distracted by a creepy tunnel. I did see a lady on a horse who gave me a tip on an easier way to get to the falls... or did she? Just watch and see. Let me know in the comments if there is any place you would like me to check out. Also if you havent subscribed maybe you would like to. Its your choice I wont lose any sleep over it, I can cry and sleep at the same time.

Thompson Rivers University Campus Tour - Kamloops (Part 7 of 7)
The name Kamloops actually means meeting of the waters - because it is where the North and the South Thompson Rivers come together.
Now, it can be where you come together with your future success.
A city of about 85,000, Kamloops is conveniently located at the junction of three major highways and an airport, and is just hours away from major hubs in BC, Alberta and the United States (and maybe even the place you call home.) A few more things you may find interesting about Kamloops:
Warm and dry: Kamloops has the third lowest annual rainfall in all of Canada and over 2,000 hours of sunshine annually
Affordable living: on average, Kamloops has a much lower cost of living than larger cities
Great skiing, great lakes, great hikes: Sun Peaks and Harper Mountain ski resorts are both less than an hour’s drive from campus and offer world-class skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. And in spring, hike along trails in the nearby hills and visit Shuswap Lake – a summer paradise for water-skiing, boating, camping and more.
A diverse community: the Kamloops region is enriched by the culture and traditions of more than 15 First Nations including the Secwepemc, on whose territory TRU is established. Ethnic communities from virtually every continent have also settled in Kamloops, and enrich the city with their traditions and cuisine.

Dogs In Kenna Cartwright Park, Kamloops, BC, by Murray Brown REMAX Kamloops
Visit thebrownsreport.com 720 HD is available. Spring Hiking at Kenna Cartwright Park... the snow and ice are gone off most trails that were in the sun and trails are drying out more and more every day. The Six Hills Of Death consist of a 'reverse Doc Finlay' from the low side up. Hill 2 is the killer! We do this almost every day every season. Winter we have ice cleats and parkas on and the dogs get boots and coats. There's over 60 km of trails in this wilderness park that's 2 blocks from our house.

High Water - Tranquille River, Kamloops
Returning to the river this year, we wanted to see how much different the trek is when the water is at it's highest from all the spring run-off. It's more a mixture of swimming and climbing then hiking.
Regardless, The river never disappoints!
