Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of millions of fireflies flashing in synchrony, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. It is one of the must visit place of interest (POI) in Malaysia. You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang” trees along the riverbank. Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing at lower levels until dawn.

Bukit Malawati Kuala Selangor (Kuala Selangor Fireflies Tour)

Bukit Malawati or some people spell Bukit Melawati situated about 70km or 11/2 driving from Kuala Lumpur. Besides the Museum and Light House, Bukit Malawati famous with its friendly and tame Silver Leaf Monkey. The monkey basically not using the hills as their home but they only come there to get a food from local and foreign tourist who stopover before see the fireflies. Their favorite food is young banana and sweat potato, but they also eat long bean as their diet.

It starts 8️⃣pm to ????pm daily. Each boat ????????‍♀️ with 4️⃣pax & cruising for 30mins ????????

Before the cruising ????, she has visited the tree ???? planting place. They are planting Pokok Berembang ???? for sustainable habitat for adult fireflies, while Pokok Nipah ???? for the sustainable habitat for fireflies’ eggs, larva & pupa

Beautiful ???? sunset ???? at Jetty ⚓️ before boarding for the cruising ????

Once boarding on the boat ????????‍♀️????????‍♂️, her young nature guide named Ikhwan (with nickname Baby) ???????? has advised not to use flash ???? while taking photos ???? or videos ???? during the cruising as it will disturb the fireflies. Baby ???????? with just 14 years old has done a great job as a young nature guide. He has explained confidently. Well done ????????& keep up the great work ya ????????????????????????
