Abandoned temple Kanazawa japan
Even in Japan, there are temples being neglected and abandoned because population of the world is heading in the direction of selfish and reflective meaningless life practices.
Today the most important aspect in life is getting drunk and falling on the floor.
Oyama Shrine, Kanazawa City
Oyama Shrine is located in Kanazawa City (in the Ishikawa Prefecture), near the Kanazawa Castle area. This Shrine was built as a dedication to Lord Toshiie Maeda, founder of the Kaga clan and his wife Omatsu. Kaga clan or the Maeda family was ruling clan for Kanazawa city and was responsible for developing it. Oyama Shrine was built in 1873 near the Kanazawa Castle area and also in the same area where the Maeda Family villa existed one time. The old garden from the Maeda family villa still exists in the Shrine precincts, reflecting it's Edo period architecture.
The front entrance to the shrine has a stained glass and shows a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and European styles. It also reflects the cooperation of the culture and commerce between Japan and other countries during the Kaga clan rule. Enjoy!!!
Day Out in Kanazawa! Japan April 2018
Hey everyone! Today is our first full day of our Japan April 2018 trip and we're spending the whole day in Kanazawa! Kanazawa is a large city on the northern shore of Japan's main island (Honshu). We visited a Ninja Temple (but what kind of Ninja Temple?!), one of Japan's most beautiful gardens, Kanazawa Castle Park, and ate at the classically named Godburger! Thanks so much for watching! More trains and Matsumoto in the next vlog!

Oyama Shrine Kanazawa Ishikawa Japan
Shrine was established in 1599, dedicated to Maeda Toshiie in Utatsu-yama east of Kanazawa.
It was moved to its present location in 1873 and renamed to Oyama-jinja.

Omicho Market, Kanazawa City
Omicho Market is located around the JR Kanazawa Station area and is said to be established over two hundred years ago. This market is specially known for it's prepared and raw seafood. Freshly caught various types of fish and crustaceans from the Sea of Japan end up at this market. This market is popular with both locals and tourists. This market is not as big as the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo but is definitely as charming as Tsukiji Market.

Visit Kanazawa, Japan Day 3: Important Ninja Temple, Bits and Bytes
I wanted to tour the Ninja Temple with its hidden doors, etc., but tours are in Japanese only and no cameras/videos! That takes care of that...
However, Kanazawa has adorable, intact and walkable districts. Nagamachi samurai and Higashi Chaya entertainment (Geisha) districts are just two that have survived in good condition.
