Thank you for coming back to the 5th episode of this series, which continues my road trip through Iran, this time I'm in Tehran and travelling to the village of Kandovan and the beautiful city of Tabriz. In Tehran, the restaurant I ate the rice Tachin in was called Moslem and the bar we went to for tea and cake is called Cafe Godo Gole Yas.

Kandovan, 2 hours from Tabriz, is a historic village with homes carved in the rocks, similar to Cappadocia,Turkey but still inhabited by people.

Rainbow mountains, Kandovan, hitchhiking and camping in Iran - A Wop in Iran 2/5 - The Traveling Wop
One of the best experiences of my life!
In this episode I visit some crazy looking mountains in the middle of nowhere, and hitchhike my way out of there.
I also visit a unique village close to Tabriz, in the North of the country.

My impressions of Tabriz | Iran #38
It's my 2nd time in #Iran and I'm so glad that I decided to visit Tabriz. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the city but it turned out to be a beautiful mix of historical monuments, old bazaars and green parks. I spent almost a week in #Tabriz and also visited the nearby village #Kandovan which impressed me with its cliff houses made out of stone.

Actually I stay most of the time in my tent but I couldn't miss this opportunity and stayed two nights at this beautiful iranian house in Tabriz. It was really unique, old and had its charme! I love old houses and especially this one is a real treasure. Persian architecture and home design is something so different which makes it even more beautiful.
