Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, Mt. Hakodate Ropeway: JAPAN VLOG EP5
We walked around at Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. It's mostly shopping and eating. We ate a lot of different things and the kids enjoyed it a lot. We got our lunch at Seico Mart, which is a convenience store in Hakodate. Everything looked good and was cheap compared to the US, so we went overboard and loaded up next day's breakfast as well. At night time, we went up to one of the most well known spots in Hakkodate for some night view at Mt. Hakodate.

***Japan With Me - Episode 25 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** Continue on from Episode 24, we are here exploring the Yokohama area. I met up with Thearoth and Phorn for a mini high school reunion. They both doing their Postgrad in Tokyo at the moment, I don't know how they do it but it is amazing! Pretty much in this episode, we are just walking around most of the tourist attraction in Yokohama like the Cosmo Park, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and the shops nearby. We went to a Korean restaurant for dinner, everyone was so hungry they were just digging in! Hahaha BTW, I said the wrong amount of the bill it was supposed to be $8.75.. Silly me! Later on that night we all walked around and got on a train to Chinatown. It was like in China itself, so much food and the atmosphere was so different! We ended up talking till like 11pm or something! By the time I got back to my capsule hotel, it was like near/after midnight. Thank you very much once again for watching. Hakodate Bay side view is really beautiful, vibrant and stunning. If you come to Hakodate I would recommend you this as your first place to go!
I found this amazing store with music boxes and I witnessed an 結婚式 which means Japanese Wedding reception. Everyone was immaculately dressed in kimonos and formal wear.
I had such a wonderful day there! There you will find traditional and authentic Japanese gifts (おみやげ）。

明治20年頃から始まった営業倉庫業は、北洋漁業のサケマス船団の拠点的な役割を果たしていた函館と共に繁栄を極めていた。函館港は賑わい、函館ドックや港町として人々の往来も多く、特に昭和40年代に函館は大きく発展を遂げた。しかしその後、1976年の200海里問題で北洋漁業の漁獲量が大きく削減されるに伴い、商業都市としての隆盛は急速に衰えていった。
建物内部の太い梁や頑丈な床板に北洋漁業全盛期の往事を偲ぶことができる。現在では、ビヤホールやレストラン、ショッピングモールとして再利用され、クラシカルなレンガ造りの倉庫群として函館のウォーターフロントのシンボルとなっている。施設は、金森洋物館、函館ヒストリープラザ、金森ホール、BAYはこだて等で、目の前は函館港が広がる開放的な場所。水際は商業施設が建ち並び、函館山をバックに、ベイエリアを気持ちよく散策が出来ます。

Hakodate (函館市 Hakodate-shi) is a city and port located in Oshima Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It is the capital city of Oshima Subprefecture.
As of July 31, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 279,851 with 143,221 households, and a population density of 412.83 persons per km2 (1,069.2 persons per sq. mi.). The total area is 677.77 km2 (261.69 sq mi). The city is now the third biggest in Hokkaido after Sapporo and Asahikawa.
