Kankaleshwar Temple, Beed
On the eastern bank of the Bindusara river, in the centre of a lake, stands the temple of Kankaleshwar unrivalled in beauty and magnificence. It is the finest temple in Beed in design and workmanship and its beauty. Practically the whole surface of the temple as also the innumerable pillars which support it are covered with excellently carved divine and human figures. But today most of these are in a defaced state. There is only one path-way to reach the temple. On either side of the facing wall are two small temples containing idols of Tuljapur Bhavani and Gangadevi to the right and left respectively. The Kankaleshwar temple is reached by climbing five steps and the entrance to the actual temple is through a narrow passage flanked by many pillars. The sabhamandap is circular in shape and supported on many solid stone pillars. On a pedestal, in the centre of the mandap, is a big image of nandi. In this mandap, there are two small chambers to the left and right of the visitor. In the chamber to the right is Shriram Temple contains idols of Ram, Laksman and Sita canopied by an arch. In the chamber to the left, in a similar setting, is an idol of Maruti depicted as lifting the Dronagiri. Under his feet is shown the demon, Jambu Mali. The linga occupies a central position in the gabhara (Sanctum). In the rear are placed the images of Ganpati, Sankar, Parvati and Laksmi Narayan. Facing the temple of Kankalesvar on the bank of the tank is a small temple of Kalbhairava who is depicted as sitting on a dog. The temple has a spacious terrace above. The temple is said to have had a storey which was pulled down by the Muslim invaders. A fair attended by over 50,000 persons is held at the time of Mahashivratri.

Khandoba Mandir (Khandeshwari), Beed-Maharastra
The Khandoba temple rises on the hill in front of khandeshwari temple. It is constructed in Hemadpanti style. Two symmetrical, octagonal dipsthambha (tower of light) rising 21.33 meters (70 ft) are standing in front of the temple and visible from 5 to 10 kilometres distance. Towers have carved figures of humans and animals, now most of them defaced. They attract the attention of visitors. In the same area there are three historical stepwells. There are two stories about the construction of this temple. One says that it was built by Sultanji Nimbalkar a Jagirdar of Nizam era. The other says that it was built by Mahadji Scindia. Tarikh-e-Bir (History of Beed) mentions it with Nimbalkar.

The Mahakali Caves, also Kondivite Caves, are a group of 19 rock-cut monuments built between 1st century BCE and 6th century CE.
This Buddhist monastery is located in the eastern suburb of Andheri in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) in western India. Monument consists of two groups of rock-cut caves - 4 caves more to the north-west and 15 caves more to the south-east. Most caves are viharas and cells for monks, but Cave 9 of south-eastern group is chaitya. Caves in north-west have been created mainly in 4th - 5th century, while south-eastern group is older. Monument contains also rock-cut cisterns and remnants of other structures.
Caves are carved out of a solid black basalt rock,(volcanic trap breccias, prone to weathering).
The largest cave at Kondivite (Cave 9) has seven depictions of the Buddha and figures from Buddhist mythology but all are mutilated.
It is located near the junction between the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road and SEEPZ. The road that connects these monuments to Andheri Kurla Road is named Mahakali Caves Road after it. The caves are located on a hill that overlooks the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road and the SEEPZ++ area. A Direct bus run by the BEST links the caves with Andheri station. The caves was in danger of being encroached upon, now it is steel fenced on the road side and walled on the hill side.

Shri Chowdeshwari Devi Temple, Nandavaram
Nandavaram is a small village in the Banagana Palli town (mandal) of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. The village is best known for the famous Chowdeshwari devi [KasiVishalakshi] temple. Nandana Chakravarthy has built this famous temple. The original Chowdeshwari idol looked very fearful to watch. So, it was kept hidden behind the garbhagriha doors and a similar Chowdeshwaridevi deity was made with simiar resemblance but with less fearful lookings. It is this fearless deity that all the piligrims can see today in this ancient temple. The height of Chowdeshwari temple is adjusted now to create the required elevation for the new deity to sit perfectly above the original Godess hidden in this temple. It is said that the Godess Chowdeshwari has come all the way from Varanasi to Nandavaram via an underground tunnel [which you can see in the temple premisis] in just one day. Srichakra is present infront of the deity so, the piligrims can perform kunkuma Archana. Nandavaram Chowdeshwari devi is the presiding deity of Nandavarik Brahmin community and only Nandavarik Brahmins are allowed to enter the garbhagriha and perform the pooja rituals to Godess Chowdeshwari devi. The 60 feet high Dravidian style Gopuram built it the early 16th century is another main attraction of this temple. The temple koneru is present at some distance towards right side from the temple. The main festivals celebrated in Nandavaram are Navaratri and Chowdeshwari Jatra in the months of March and April.
