Japan Adventure: Spring Edition (Kansai)

Osaka - Hiking Mt.Rokko -Japan March 2017
NOTE: I had to re-upload this video, my voice was missing for the parts I am talking to the camera.
This is not easy for me to share. On my hike with Destination Arima Onsen I got really lost, literally lost. But luckily I was able to get rescued, otherwise you would not be watching this video right now. I will share the whole story on a ,story-time video, hopefully in a couple days.
If you plan to hike in Japan, do it, it is beautiful but don't go alone if you can not speak and read any Japanese, because the signs are all in Japanese and only rarely in English.
I will share more soon.
Hope you enjoy this video anyway, I shared also my darkest moments ,that I filmed, with you, I wanted to keep it real. I have never ever been so scared in my life. But here I am having a 2nd Chance!
I am very thankful for all the people that were involved in my rescue, without them I might still be out there. I can not thank them enough!!

Typhoon Jebi lashes Osaka
Typhoon Jebi, the strongest typhoon to hit Japan in 25 years, left a trail of destruction across Osaka, ripping off roofs, overturning a truck, slamming a tanker into a bridge, and flooding Kansai International Airport. Read the full story:

We took a day off to escape the city to the neighbouring prefecture, Hyogo. I've wanted to do this hike for ages, so I'm glad it could finally happen!
やっと出来ました!ずーとこのハイキングコースをやっていました!とても綺麗な景色で面白いところがいっぱいありました!オススメやで!
✜ ✜ How to get to Takedao ✜ ✜
→ OPTION 1) From JR Osaka station, take the JR Tokaido-Sanyo line (bound for Shin-Sanda.) This train automatically turns into the Fukuchiyama line at Amagasaki, so you don't need to change trains (stay on the same train!) Takes about 45 minutes.
→ OPTION 2) From Hankyu Umeda station, take the Hanjyu Takarazuka line (bound for Takarazkua.) Get off at Hankyu Takarazuka station and walk to JR Takarazuka station (about 1 minute) then take the JR Fukuchiyama line bound for Shin-Sanda.
✜ ✜ HINT! ✜ ✜
You can also walk the trail in the opposite direction (which most people did!), in which case get off at Namaze station instead of Takedao (it is two stops earlier.)

In this video we will be making the short side trip from Osaka to Yoshino, a quaint mountainside town in Nara Prefecture. Although known for being a premiere cherry blossom spot in spring, year round it is a worthwhile destination. The area has a rich and significant history and is also one of the most important centers of Shugendo mountain worship in all of Japan.

3 Unique Areas That Make You Wanna Revisit Kansai | ft internationally ME
This is it! This video is one of our most important videos! While it was a sponsored video for ONE OF JAPAN'S LARGEST CORPORATIONS we were able to really get to do what we wanted and show some of the more unique areas in Kansai. Angela (internationally me) and I went around the Kansai Area (Minoh, Osaka, and Kyoto) to check out some of the areas that are really unique and not common for first time visitors to Kansai. Between Minoh's beautiful autumn leaves, and Japan's award winning world famous Suntory Whisky Distillery, we also had the lovely Angela stroll through Kyoto in a lovely kimono.
So follow us on our little travel diary, Japan vlog, or Japan travel guide, whatever you want to call it. lol ALSO PLZ if you ever have thought we deserve more views or subscribers, if you only ever share one of our videos make it this one! It would really help us out! :D

BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL in Japan, Minoo Park, Osaka (Minoh Park)
Exploring Minoo Park, a quasi-national park in Japan just half an hour from Osaka. Beautiful, natural Japan - a complete contrast to the city!
Minoo Park (Mino / Minoh Park) is a country park less than 30 minutes from Osaka by train. A perfect day trip and a place to spend a relaxing few hours walking in the countryside. There's a fairly easy trail alongside a river, with shrines, temples, and cafes with Japanese street food and it ends at Mino Falls, a stunning 33m waterfall. The area's famous for maple leaves, which are stunning in the autumn colours. I tried momiji tempura, a local speciality: fried maple leaves!

Hiking is a pretty big pastime in Japan, and often over the weekends, you'll spot heaps of people dressed in the latest gear from Montbell heading out of the cities to enjoy nature.
I headed up a smaller hike in Kansai which starts in a lovely valley full of rice fields and small farmhouses and goes past a couple of temples before reaching the top of the mountain.

Quick hike up Mount Daimonji in Kyoto | Kansai | Travel in Japan
Mt. Daimonji in Kyoto.
Heavy breathing is due to my face being close to the camera looking at live view. I had originally intended to overlay music over the original audio but changed my mind after hearing the sounds of nature in the background.
Footage isn't as sharp as it should be, I had been taking photos earlier and ...kind of left a filter on my lens, d'oh.

ROUTE DIRECTIONS:
Disclaimer: The directions only represent my personal experience. I accept no responsibility for any losses or injuries resulting from following these directions. Hike safe!
Get off at Oji-koen station, walk west along the wall of the park, past the zoo entrance, and turn right at the Museum of Literature. Walk straight ahead up the hill all the way to the end of the (increasingly narrow) road, then cross the bridge to your right, and you’ll reach the hike’s starting point. (Get directions to here: )
Go up the slope to the left, and the hiking trail begins. Walk up and up the concrete slope, cross a few bridges over the stream, and keep following the signs to 摩耶山頂. Warning: there are lots of steps..!
Near the top, at the last ruins, turn left and wrap around to the shrine on top of the mountain, then go straight ahead over the hill, down the slope, to the road. Turn right, and you’re at the top. Enjoy the view!
Coming down, head back down the road towards the path you arrived on, and go down the stairs to your left. Follow the path down, turn left at the junction (look for the 摩耶ケーブル下 signs), then follow the signs all the way down… It’s a little confusing at 2 intersections: at one, you have to turn right and go UP the stairs (even though it feels like the wrong way), and then a minute later, you have to go DOWN the stairs and cross the river (even though the path looks very small). Then climb the stairs when you reach a small dam, down the other side, and you’re done! (End hike point: ). It’s an easy 15 minute walk back to Oji-koen station.
