Picturesque land on the banks of Karamana River in Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala.

Peppara Dam Route View [ Trivandrum, Kerala, India ]
Peppara Dam is a masonry gravity dam on the Karamana River in the Indian state of Kerala. Peppara Dam is located at Peppara around 55 Kms from Trivandrum. The dam is erected across the Karamana River. Peppara dam constructed across Karamana river and commissioned during 1983 to augment drinking water supply to Thiruvananthapuram city and suburban areas. It consists of the catchment area of the Karamana river, which originates from Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is merged partially with the Palode reserve and the Kottoor reserve, all the three together forming the whole of the area covered by the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary. The wildlife species found in the sanctuary are tiger, panther, wild dog, lion tailed macaque, elephant, gaur, sambhar etc.

Travancore Titanium Products Limited (TTPL) is a titanium dioxide plant located along the seashore in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala in Southern India.
Titanium is used in the manufacture of various products, including paints, ink, flooring material and other products. The plant produces more than a hundred tons of waste water daily, pumping it into the sea through a local fishing village. The acid water has destroyed the fish wealth in the area and caused serious health issues for community member.
