Ο Καρφάς βρίσκεται μόλις 7 χιλιόμετρα νότια της πόλης της Χίου. Είναι μία από τις πιο γνωστές και κοσμοπολίτικες παραλίες του νησιού που προσελκύει κυρίως τουρίστες, καθώς η περιοχή είναι το πιο μεγάλο τουριστικό θέρετρο του νησιού. Έχει θαυμάσια αμμουδιά κατάλληλη για παιχνίδια και ηλιοθεραπεία, καθώς και πολύ ρηχά νερά κατάλληλα για μικρά παιδιά. Η παραλία είναι οργανωμένη, διαθέτει ναυαγοσώστη, ομπρέλες και ξαπλώστρες. Επίσης εδώ μπορεί να κάνει κανείς όλα τα θαλάσσια σπορ.
Η περιοχή του Καρφά διαθέτει πολλά ξενοδοχεία, διαμερίσματα, studios, ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια, καθώς και γραφεία ενοικιάσεως αυτοκινήτων και μοτοποδηλάτων. Επίσης υπάρχουν αρκετά μπαρ και καφετέριες για βραδινές εξόδους καθώς επίσης πολλά εστιατόρια και ταβέρνες όπου θα βρείτε πολύ καλό φαγητό και ντόπιους μεζέδες. Τέλος στην περιοχή υπάρχουν μαγαζιά και σούπερ-μάρκετ όπου μπορείτε να βρείτε ότι χρειάζεστε.
Karfas is located 7 Km south of the town of Chios and is among the most well-known and loveliest beaches of Chios, with a fine sand suitable for beach games and relaxing sunbathing. Being a tourist center, Karfas has many hotels, apartments, studios, restaurants, taverns offering fresh seafood as well as cafes and bars.
