Kariandusi Prehistoric Site | Nakuru
Kariandusi Prehistoric Site was discovered 1928 by Louis Leakey.It is a settlement in Nakuru County, Kenya. It is located 17.5 miles from Nakuru town and 7.5 miles from Gilgil town. Inhabitants of Kariandusi settled in the area in early 1980s in the former Lord Egerton cole and Lord Delamere ranches.

Hyrax Hill Museum | In the heart of Nakuru
A visit to Hyrax Hill Museum & Pre historic Site in Nakuru. This is where Mary Leaky (Archaeologist) escavated the remains of early man namely the Zinjathropus and the Australopithecus which dates back to 1.8 million years. It was founded in 1945 and was opened to public in 1965

Olorgesailie is a geological formation in East Africa containing a group of Lower Paleolithic archaeological sites.It is on the floor of the Eastern Rift Valley in southern Kenya, 40 miles southwest of Nairobi along the road to Lake Magadi.Olorgesailie is noted for the large number of Acheulean hand axes discovered there that are associated with animal butchering.According to the National Museums of Kenya, the finds are internationally significant for archaeology, palaeontology, and geology.

Hyrax Hill is a prehistoric site near Nakuru in the Rift Valley province of Kenya.It is a rocky spur roughly half a kilometer in length, with an elevation of 1,900 meters above sea level at its summit.The site was first discovered in 1926 by Louis Leakey during excavations at the nearby Nakuru Burial Site, and Mary Leakey conducted the first major excavations between 1937 and 1938.There are two distinct areas of occupation at Hyrax Hill: one which was occupied during the Neolithic and late Iron Age, and one which was occupied by the Sirikwa earlier in the Iron Age.
