In Karratha, Auzcorp are working in an urban design project, Banyon West ( to accommodate projected future growth in the population. This urban design project has been planned to bring a new sense of community to the town including landscaped gardens, bike paths and green walkways. The development has been designed with a community focus in mind and there are 200 planned residential units, all architecturally designed and offering a variety of accommodation types to the growing community.

Karratha, Western Australia
Karratha is an Australian city adjoining the port of Dampier in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, which was established in 1968 to accommodate the processing and exportation workforce of the Hamersley Iron mining company and, in the 1980s, the petroleum and liquefied natural gas operations of the North West Shelf Venture. At the 2011 census, Karratha had a population of 16,475. The city's name comes from the cattle station from which land was reclaimed for the development. Karratha in the local Aboriginal language means 'good country' or 'soft earth'. The city is the seat of government of the City of Karratha.

Mycosm database connectivity demo
In this example we have written a Python script in Mycosm Studio that connects to a Microsoft SQL database. The script reads temperature values from a database table and displays them in real-time at the location of the colored sensors within the 3D environment. The sensors change color according to the temperature value.
Asset information can be displayed by pressing a key, or a button on an Xbox game controller when in proximity of an object such as a truck or excavator. In this example, the database provides pre-determined positioning information for some of the trucks. In reality this information would be derived from GPS and pushed to the database.
