Guernsey Liberation Day Cavalcade 2017
Guernsey Liberation Day, Cavalcade 2017, Smaller amount of vehicles this year, but still nice to see people remembering and celebrating the end of the occupation. Apologies as it was very windy on the day of filming.
Guernsey - Kali's school project
A little light humour for Kali's school project.
There is historical evidence that our ancestors were in fact pirates (or marauding thieving sailors) off the coasts around France, England and surrounds.
The dates and information on this slideshow is NOT strictly accurate... some are a complete stab in the dark... but deadlines were looming!!
Dates were probably a lot earlier, but as I've said, this is a little light humour to get a point across for a school project.
As for the remaining Maindonalds of Guernesy... no offence is intended!
Otherwise please enjoy Kali's school project!

Guernsey Lights in the Sky - Vale Common 28/5/2013
Whilst going across Vale Common on Guernsey we saw these lights in the sky. We'd had a bit to drink but still managed to film it. No idea what they were. Does anyone from Guernsey have any ideas? It was around 11pm on the 28/5/2013 near the millennium stone.

Celebration of Sport in Guernsey
Whilst the Olympic Torch Relay was the main event of the day in Guernsey on July 15th 2012, the Guernsey Sports Commission also organised a Celebration of Sport on the St. Peter Port seafront which would showcase the great selection of sports on offer in Guernsey. Whilst the Sports Commission has 48 member sports accredited to them, 20 sports were present on the day which offered members of the public the opportunity to take part in or watch their demonstrations.
On the Sea-front & Crown Pier, two sports utilised a closed circuit to host races, which included the Guernsey Velo Club & Guernsey Island Amateur Athletics Club. Cycle races were held for juniors, ladies & elites using the closed course which was then utilised for Athletics races later in the afternoon, which included various junior races and an elite male & female mile.
On The Albert Pier a selection of sports displays were on offer for spectators to view, which included, netball, touch rugby, karate, cheerleading & rugby. Other clubs displaying their sport included football, fencing, basketball, judo, pistol shooting, squash, volleyball, cricket, softball, badminton, hockey & karting. Other organisations who also had a stand on the seafont included the Guernsey Sports Commission, Health Promotion Unit, Lloyds TSB, Coke, Samsung & BMW.
A full list of the Sports Commissions member sports can be found on their website here:
