Located on the South end of Vourvourou, the beach is easily accessible and especially appreciated by families due to the shallow clear waters that make this one of Sithonia’s best swimming holes. For this reason and its popularity, we include Karidi beach in with Sithonia’s best 10 beaches.

The sand of Karidi beach is a soft white powder that is rarely found on other beaches in Halkidiki making it a pleasure to just throw down your towel and relax. It is definitely worth the effort if you are in the area of Vourvourou.

The beach is not organized with sun beds and umbrellas but has some canteens that offer basic food such as gyros and beer for a decent price. There is plenty of parking among the trees but it can get filled up quickly in the peak months of July and August. There is no other organization such as water sports or toilets so come prepared.

Close by to Karidi exist plenty of accommodation options, everything from basic apartments to even a 5 star resort.


There are also a few tavernas and pizzerias within walking distance from Karidi.

This would definitely be Sithonia’s most popular family beach!
