Russia's Karymsky Volcano Erupts - Amazing Aerial Footage
Amazing aerial footage of Russia's Karymsky Volcano, Kamchatka. A Volcanic Ash Advisory has been issued for the region.
Twenty-seven-year-old Aleksandr Ostrowski, is a local tour guide. I filmed this eruption during a helicopter ride on the way to the Valley of Geysers, he said. This eruption could be described as a vulcanian eruption, he added.
Vulcanian eruptions occur when magma forms beneath the surface of a volcano, which is then hurled into the air by more magma accumulating below.
Karymsky Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Kamchatka, where there are over 100 active volcanoes.

Kamchatka volcano waking up
Russian volcano erupts in activity. On the southern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, the Gorely volcano rose from its dormancy on Sunday, June 13 for the first time in more than 20 years as a plume of ash and steam rose into the air at least 1,000 meters, limiting air travel in the region. Seismologists stated that there was no immediate threat to nearby residents or tourists thus far.
We are thankful for the safety of the region's residents as we pray for the safe passing of such eruptions in the beautiful land of Russia's Far East. May our world enjoy a more peaceful future through our more heartfelt care for the environment.

Deep inside Gorely Volcano near Petropavlovsk in Kamchatka, Russia
Gorely Volcano, located near Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka, Russia, was active at the time I made this recording but still accessible. If you look closely into the fumarole, at about 0:35, you'll see hot magma glowing red in the lower left portion of the hole...
The Kamchatka Peninsula is located in far eastern Russia well north of Japan. MY CMC friends and I took advantage of numerous hikes in and around the volcanoes located in that part of Kamchatka.

HD VİDEO Kamchatka, Top of volcamo The Earth are breathing
The volcanoes of Kamchatka are a large group of volcanoes situated on the Kamchatka peninsula. The Kamchatka River and the surrounding central side valley are flanked by large volcanic belts containing around 160 volcanoes, 29 of them still active. The peninsula has a high density of volcanoes and associated volcanic phenomena, with 19 active volcanoes being included in the six UNESCO World Heritage List sites in the Volcanoes of Kamchatka group, most of them on the Kamchatka Peninsula.[1]
The highest volcano is Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4,750 m or 15,584 ft), the largest active volcano in the Northern Hemisphere,[2] while the most striking is Kronotsky, whose perfect cone was said by celebrated volcanologists Robert and Barbara Decker to be a prime candidate for the world's most beautiful volcano. Somewhat more accessible are the three volcanoes visible from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky: Koryaksky, Avachinsky, and Kozelsky. In the center of Kamchatka is Eurasia's world famous Geyser Valley which was partly destroyed by a massive mudslide in June 2007.[3]
Owing to the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench, deep-focus seismic events and tsunamis are fairly common. A pair of megathrust earthquakes occurred off the coast on October 16, 1737, and on November 4, 1952, in the magnitude of ~9.3 and 8.2 respectively.[4] A chain of more shallow earthquakes were recorded as recently as April 2006.[5]
These volcanic features are the site of occurrence of certain extremophile micro-organisms, that are capable of surviving in extremely hot environments
Karymskiy Volcano, 2008
A typical view of the Karymskiy volcano as viewed from a tourist helicopter en-route to the Geysir valley. Mind, that the company which runs the helicopters on this route is highly unreliable and tend to forget people in the wilderness after charging the customers exuberant prices.
Koryaksky Volcano
Many people do not think of volcanoes when they think of Russia, but there are some strong volcanoes in Russia, specifically in the Kamchatka Peninsula. Koryaksky is one volcano of particular interest.

The Red Army's Helicopter Flight Over Zhupanovsky Volcano Massif – Kamchatka’s Eastern Volcanic Range
This short footage was made during the flight to Karymsky Volcano by Russian Helicopter service in Yelizovo – Kamchatka. It features not only helicopter’s take off but its sort of dramatic landing as well.
Beside that video shows The Zhupanovsky Volcano and its Volcanic Massif and the beautiful “bird’s view” of Siberian taiga with its meadows, rivers and impenetrable forests during Fall – Siberian favourite season.
Zhupanovsky Volcano – 3,000 meters volcanic monster consists of four overlapping stratovolcanoes and is not reachable by any other means of transportation but helicopters.

Ash eruption from Karymsky on 18 July 2017 (photo: Andrey Nikiforov)
The volcano has gradually become more active, our Kamchatka volcano correspondent Andrey reported. He flew over the volcano a few days ago and witnessed one of the now frequent strombolian- to vulcanian-type explosions.
Ash plumes sometimes rise up to 2-3 km and are large enough to be recorded on satellite data as well, as VAAC Tokyo reports.

-The Kamchatka Peninsula - (Russian: полуо́стров Камча́тка, poluostrov Kamchatka) is a 1,250-kilometre (780 mi) peninsula in the Russian Far East, with an area of 472,300 km2 (182,400 sq mi). It lies between the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Sea of Okhotsk to the west.[1] Immediately offshore along the Pacific coast of the peninsula runs the 10,500-metre (34,400 ft) deep Kuril-Kamchatka Trench.
The Kamchatka Peninsula, the Commander Islands, and Karaginsky Island constitute the Kamchatka Krai of the Russian Federation. The vast majority of the 402,500 inhabitants are Russians, but there are also about 8,743 Koryaks. More than half of the population lives in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (198,028 people) and nearby Yelizovo (41,533).
The Kamchatka peninsula contains the Volcanoes of Kamchatka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Kamchatka receives up to 2,700 mm (110 in) of precipitation per year. The summers are moderately cool, and the winters tend to be rather stormy with rare amounts of lightning.

Double volcanic eruption in Kamchatka
Residents of Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula have witnessed the eruption of two volcanoes at a time.
The volcanoes Shiveluch and Karymsky spewed ash to the altitude of 5 kilometers, causing a breakdown of volcanic rock.
Although remaining in a vigorous phase of activity for the last few years, Shiveluch and Karymsky are said to be posing no threat to the nearby settlements.
Situation Update No. 1
On 17.12.2010 at 16:02 GMT+2
A volcano in the Russian Far East peninsula erupted several days ago, prompting experts to raise the hazard level caused by the possible massive eruption. The volcano Kizimen, located in the Kamchatka Peninsula, has spewed ashes as high as 10 km into sky and the western slope of the mountain has been covered with ashes due to high winds. The snow on the slope was thawing quickly, pushing river water level up by 60 cm. Specialists don't rule out the possibility of a massive eruption of Kizimen, which has remained dormant for 80 years. A helicopter would soon be sent to the site to check whether the eruption was still going on. The nearest human settlement is about 110 km away from the volcano. The Kamchatka Peninsula has a high density of volcanoes, flanked by large volcanic belts containing about 160 volcanoes, with 29 of them still active.
