Nezu Shrine is one of Japan's oldest shrines, the current buildings dating back to 1706, it’s history stretching back way before, some say 2000 years.
The Shrine is set off by the hillside gardens that surround it and which are planted with over 3 thousand azalea bushes encompassing 100 species

A beautiful Azalea Zen Temple in Kawasaki Japan not far from central Tokyo. The footage was actually filmed on April 12 at location scouting, but azalea was almost on full bloom, as early as about 2 weeks than usual - - same as Sakura bloom.
