BRIDGE TO HEAVEN (Amanohashidate) | Miyazu, Kyoto
Amanohashidate is a sandbar in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture. Amanohashidate roughly translates as bridge to heaven because it looks like a path connecting the land and sky when viewed upside down (hence the tradition to view it through your legs).
The south side of the sandbar has Viewland - an amusement park with some viewing platforms. The north side has Kasamatsu Park which is a more nature-y park with more viewing platforms.
It really is a beautiful place and worth a visit if in Kyoto Prefecture. It's in the town of Miyazu (which I accidentally said Amanohashidate for in the video), about 2 hours on the train north of Kyoto city.

Kasamatsu Cable Car (Amanohashidate, Japan) Jun-2017
Cable car ride up to Kasamatsu Park to view the Amanohashidate Sand Bar, which is widely recognised as one of the Top 3 views in Japan!
The Amanohashidate sand bar resembles a dragon flying into heaven. It can be viewed from the south (from a hill beside Amanohashidate station) or the north (Kasamatsu Park on a hill), with the view from the south better.
However, we're out of luck as the viewing point in the south is closed during the time of our visit. Thus we have to settle for the view from the north.

We can have admired Amanohashidate by cruise boat at the jetty near Chionji Temple in the south to Motoise Kono Temple Shrine in the north. The cruise boat trip takes about 15 minutes every half hourly to reached the other side of the bay. Visitors can be sightseeing around the bay with beautifully lust green pine trees lined around the bay and enjoy the whitish sandy beaches along the sandbar. There are lot of seagulls flying alongside with the cruise boat. You can feed these seagulls. They fly close and take food from tourist hand. They are awful and with a sensational touch to your visit. A very rare opportunity and an unforgettable experience.

ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2018年4月26日に京都府宮津市にある「天橋立」を歩きました。
『天橋立』は、陸奥の『松島』・安芸の『宮島』とともに、日本三景とされている特別名勝のひとつです。 幅は約20～170m・全長約3.6kmの砂嘴(さし)でできた砂浜で、大小約8000本もの松が茂っている珍しい地形で、その形が、天に架かる橋のように見えることから『天橋立』の名が付きました。
海水浴場はとてもきれいでしたが、風が強かった。
約50分で渡りきれました。
なかなか疲れますｗ
