Kashid is a complete getaway in every sense but the key reason for its immense popularity is that is sits right between Mumbai and Pune. Proximity to two metros makes it a popular beach getaway near Mumbai and is quite crowded during weekends. The best time to visit Kashid Beach is between the Winter season, i.e. between the months of October and February.

Winter (October to February): This is the best time for visit Kashid since the weather stays pleasant. This allows the visitors to indulge in various activities like swimming and banana boat rides on the beach.

Monsoon (July to September): Since Maharashtra’s coastal regions experience heavy rainfall in the monsoon season, visiting Kashid for beach activities might not be a good idea. You cannot indulge in swimming and other activities due to high tide. However, the landscape becomes more beautiful and green during this time, and gentle cool breeze make it a retreat altogether.

Summer (March to June): Summers are harsh in and around Kashid Beach. Hence, it is not a suggested time to visit this place. However, the nights are pleasant and you can go for a stroll on the beach for sunset. Also, since this is not a tourist season, you can expect a great downfall in the tariff of hotels near Kashid Beach. This factor makes it a wonderful weekend escape from Mumbai for those looking for an exotic beach staycation.

How to reach Kashid Beach

Even though Kashid is a lesser-known destination, it is easily accessible. If you’re coming from Mumbai or Pune, the best way to reach is through roadways. However, for better understanding about how to reach Kashid Beach, here are the details:

Distance from Pune to Kashid Beach: 125 km
Time Taken: 4 hours

Distance from Mumbai to Kashid Beach: 170 km
Time Taken: 4 hours 15 minutes

By road: The road to Kashid is scenic. There’s coastal route and hill routes that await you on your road trip. Buses ply between Kashid, Mumbai and Pune daily. You can easily find a bus to Alibaug, and from Alibaug bus station you can hire a taxi or auto rickshaw to reach Kashid Beach.

By air: The nearest airport to Kashid Beach is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai. The distance between the two is 135 km, and the airport is connected to different towns and cities worldwide.

By train: Roha Railway Station is the nearest railway station from Kashid Beach, located at a distance of 50 km. This station is well connected with Konkan line.

Beyond doubt that this is one of the best weekend destinations from Pune/Mumbai... dont waste ur time in Alibaug... Kashid is barely 20 Kms away... the view of the sunset from here is as powerful as it can get... some decent water sports is also available (banana etc)... try maggi while relaxing in the shacks.

Kashid is popular mainly because of its white sand, blue seas and green mountains. Tourists can be seen enjoying Banana ride and other water sports in the video.

Kashid Beach || Best Beach in India || Weekend Getaway from Mumbai and Pune

Kashid Beach is 168 km's away from Mumbai and 190 km's away from Pune . It is one of the best gateway if you are bored from the crowd and roughness of the city. The Beach is very clean and one of the most soothing beach I have been on. It is way better then those over rated beach of Mumbai. I am attaching a few pictures and link of the VLOG that I created on my trip to Kashid down below which covers all the things from Water sports to all the things you can do there. Have a look if you are planning a trip there.





WATER SPORTS:-



It will cost you around 600 bucks for all the water sports which includes 3 major sports.

1. Banana Ride.

2. Jet Ski

3. Bumpy ride.



If you do all three sports in Goa, it will cost you around Rs. 1800.



4. Paragliding:- You can also do Paragliding, it will cost cost you around Rs. 1500 but it is worth the experience.



STAY:-



We stayed in a guest took one room Rs 600 for around 8-10 hours. So yeah a lot of amazing guest house are available.



Is it good for a Road trip? :-



It will be an amazing road trip , we drove from Pune at night reach there around 3'o clock. It will be a lovely road trip experience with friends.



BEST TIME TO VISIT:-



This is such a soothing place that if you will visit any time you will be refreshed. If you are planning for a little outing on weekend you can easily reach there in the morning and come back by late evening around 10 P.M.

Kashid is a beach town on the shores of the Arabian Sea, in the North Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It is located 30 km from Alibag and 135 km from Mumbai on the Alibag-Murud road.The 3 km-long Kashid Beach combines all the elements of a perfect beach holiday. Murud Beach in the old fishing village of Murud, a few km away from Kashid, is another option for beach lovers. While Kashid Beach has crystal clear blue waters, Murud Beach has clear green water. Janjira Fort right in the middle of the sea is a sight-seeing highlight. Ferry boats are available to the fort. Other places worth visiting include the Nawab's Palace, Ganapati Pule Temple and the beautiful Birla Temple. Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, 10 Km from Kashid Beach is home to several types of birds, butterflies and snakes, as well as leopard, sambhar and barking deer. Other places of interest include the Portuguese Revdanda Beach Fort, almost in ruins and the hilltop Datta Mandir, 8 km from Revdanda with sweeping views of the entire coastal belt.


Rameshwar Mandir is a temple located in Chaul, Maharashtra, India. It is a very ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Being an ancient temple it had completed 275 years. The Chaul region is known for its temples. There are 360 temples in Chaul and also 360 lake or large pond called as POKHARAN in MARATHI. One Rameshwar Das Mandir is in Basai, Rajasthan. The date of construction is not known, but the temple has been renovated several times. In the front there is a large pond known as pokharan in Marathi.

The Mandir has three tanks (called kund in Marathi): parjanya kund, agni kund, and wayu kund, representing three elements of nature—Rain, fire, and air.

here are numerous ancient temples built in and around the borders of Alibaug. The temple of Rameshwar is one such ancient shrine built in Revdanda. The temple is more known for its unique Hemadpanthi style of architecture. As per historical studies, this temple has been renovated various times in the past to make it attractive, however the exact year when it was built is not known. Lord Shiva is the foremost deity in the temple.

At a distance of 32 km from Alibaug, 20 km from Murud - Janjira Fort, and 133 km from Mumbai, Kashid Beach is a beautiful beach on the shores of the Arabian Sea at Kashid. It is one of the popular beaches in Maharashtra and also a popular weekend getaway from Mumbai and Pune.

Kashid Beach is tucked between two hillocks and is known for its clear waters, white sand and casuarina groves that line the shore. The 3 km long white sand beach is the most beautiful and alluring in the Konkan region. Kashid Beach is a quiet and soothing place and a perfect getaway from the busy city life. Kashid is not as commercially popular as most other beaches in the state. Most tourists stop over at Kashid en route Alibag or Murud.

Kashid Beach is also perfect for surfing with waves rising as high as six feet almost throughout the year. However swimming is not recommended at Kashid. Kashid is also a popular destination for water sports like water scooters, parasailing and banana boat rides. The beach is very crowded on weekends but on weekdays it has almost deserted look.

KASHID BEACH|How To Reach|Where We Stayed

Hey guys! I recently visited Kashid Beach, and this is my short movie describing the trip.

Kashid is the the most beautiful and peaceful white sand beach located nearest to Pune. 30 kms from Alibag makes it accessible by bus and cabs.
Transportation:
1. Bus- MSRTC bus would take 5.30 hours to reach which costs around 300 INR one side.
2. Uber Intercity/ Ola Outstation is another great way to go if you’re traveling with a group. It will cost around 2000 INR one side and take 4 hours drive from Pune.
Accomodation:
1. Swapnali Guest house- Room costs 1200-1500 INR depending on season. They provide camping facilities inside the resort with minimal charges and are vey helpful.

Suggestions:
1. Kindly pre-navigate your way from Alibag to Kashid as the route is not well connected to network, specially while traveling in dark.
2. All the resorts are similar in the type of food and ambiance they offer, so try not to except something very luxurious.

Am an explorer and love to travel to amazing places .Last weekend I traveled to @ Kashid beach near pune where i filmed the video Pune Vlog # Kashid beach | Murud janjira fort | India | Prachi Parekh .The place is amazing and I planned a two day trip where we covered Murud-Janjira fort and Alibaug too. Some tips I woukd like to give for the same to people who are travelling to these places or planning soon :-

1)If you love adventure and can drive on curvy roads then follow the alternate route available on GPS which takes you first to MURUD-JANJIRA FORT then you can go to kashid beach from there. Otherwise the best route to reach Kashid Beach is from pune-mumbai expressway - Pen - Alibaug -Kashid.

2)The food is awesome and if you are staying at Kashid then do try Atithi Restaurant for better food options and quick service.

3)Their are a lot of staying options that is home stays. Don't go thinking that you will get some amazing resorts in kashid but home stays for one night are manageable and you get home cooked food for your empty tummies.

4)Kashid beach offers a lot of water sports and other activities such as horse riding and camel riding on the beach.

5) Fort remains closed for tourists from the month of june-august due to rise in water level inside the fort.

6) Usually the boat which takes you to fort charges somewhere around 50 /- and offers you 45 mins time inside the fort.

7)One can cover all three places in 2 days .

8)Roads are manageable and one should definitely visit this place for relaxation and scenic view.
