Kasprowy Wierch Cable Car to Tatry Mountains in Poland
The following video will highlight the Tatry Kasprowy Wierch Cable Car day trip. We went to the top of the Tatry Mountains in early Autumn. Of course, if you go in the winter, you can also enjoy winter sports from this mountain as well.
There are loads of other things you can do in Zakopane and surrounding areas if you have more time - we will share a video on the best things to do in Zakopane Poland soon.
We visited Tatry National Park towards the end of September and had cold cold weather. So best to bring some clothes that you can layer for warmth as the weather was a bit all over the shop (some days were super cold and other days were only slightly chilly). You can also check what the visibility is on the mountain by logging in to their webcam.

Kasprowy Wierch or Kasprov vrch is a mountain in the Western Tatras. The mountain is also renowned as one of the most popular ski areas in Poland. Its peak is accessible by cablecar.
The cable car to Kasprowy Wierch is one of the oldest still working cable cars in Europe. The construction of the Mount Kasprowy cable car started on August 1935.
The cable car station is located in Kuznice (upper part of Zakopane)

Tatra Mountains Hiking Kasprowy Wierch
This was my first hike of a mountain (if I don't include Mount Etna) The Tatra Mountains was a great choice by me, located in the South of Poland just outside of Zakopane (they also cover Slovakia) The Tatras had some amazing views. The clouds gave me a real buzz even though it restricted the view a bit. I really will be going on many more hikes. I hope you enjoy =)

Poland's Winter Wonderland. This is Zakopane. Christmas in the Mountains.
This week we’re continuing our Christmas series in Poland! We’ve made our way up into the Tatra Mountains in the south of Poland to a town called Zakopane.
Zakopane is well known for being a great winter destination in Poland particular for outdoor activities and sports such as skiing, sledding and snowboarding.
We did a day trip and took the bus to and from Krakow to Zakopane.
As soon as we arrive we make our way to the main part of town to explore the main street in Zakopane which also happens to be a pedestrian only street. After doing a bit of exploring we take the funicular up the mountain to see the amazing mountain views and also take a look at all the Christmas lights. While up here we also try some hot beer!
Back in town we try some local cheese called oscypek, which is made from sheep’s milk and is served with cranberry on top.
Because it’s so cold out, we eventually make our way into a restaurant called Krupowa Izba where we tried a couple of dishes including boiled potato pancakes and a soup make of sheep’s cheese.

Zakopane is a resort town in southern Poland, at the base of the Tatras Mountains. It’s a popular departure point for winter sports and summertime mountain climbing and hiking. Kasprowy Wierch and Gubałówka, reachable by cable car and funicular, are nearby ski destinations offering sweeping mountain views. The town is also known for its turn-of-the-20th-century wooden chalets, symbols of Zakopane-style architecture.

Why You Need To Visit POLAND In 2020! Zakopane -Gubałówka, Morskie Oko & Kasprowy Wierch. Full Video
From Krakow I got a three hour bus costing £2.80 to go to Zakopane. After landing at Zakopane I could visit: Gubałówka,Morskie Oko & Kasprowy Wierch all through public transport and they were quite fast and regular,
For Gubalowka; you can walk to Zakopane shopping area which has MacD, Subway etc & from there you walk down and get to a place where you can get a cable car to go the top.
For Morskie Oko, You will need to wait for bus stop number 2 but you will sign at the main bus station stating Morskie Oko. From there start point you can walk to the top which I did not I got horse and cart which was fantastic.
For Kasprowy Wierch, you can take a bus just outside of main Zakopane station like 2-3 minute walk then you are looking for Kuznice. Inform bus driver that you will go to Kasprowy Wierch It will be final stop from there you take cable car to the top.
