Kashmir This historical Gurdwar Chatti Patshahi, on Zee Kashmir
Gurdwara Chatti Patshahi, Kathi Darwaja, Rainwari, Srinagar is one of the most important Sikh Gurudwaras in Kashmir. This historical Gurdwara is included in the tourist place of Srinagar city of Kashmir valley. It is situated just outside the southern gate of Hari Parbat fort.
The sixth guru of Sikhism travelled through Kashmir, stopping to preach occasionally and stayed for few days. Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi - Srinagar, on the bank of Jhelum River and Dal Lake, is located at the site which was visited by Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Hargobind as well. Some sources also list a visit by Guru Har Rai, but the historical Sikh shrine here is named after Guru Hargobind alone the Chhevin Patshahi or Sixth Master, it is located outside Kathi Gate of Hari Parbat Fort at the site of the house of Mai Bhagbhari, who had long been yearning for a glimpse of the Guru when Guru Hargobind fulfilled her wish by his visit and wearing of her now famous gown.
The Gurdwara comprises a rectangular hall with the sanctum in the middle and a spacious terrace in front. An old well nearby is said to have been dug on the orders of Guru Hargobind.
KASHMIR HARI PARBAT AFTER 30 YEARS IN 03OCT2018
“Kashmir was the cradle of Hinduism & a Gateway to India while Buddhism saw its zenith here too,” says Peerzada Ashraf, former deputy director of archives, archaeology and museums, J&K,Only 25% of it is known at present
The origins of Kashmir exist in the form of myths from a time when the region was believed to have been a lake, inhabited by a demon named Jalodbhava who was immortal for as long as he stayed underwater. It is believed that the gods drained the lake, sending him into hiding until Sharika Devi—the patron goddess of Kashmir and incarnation of Parvati—assumed the form of a myna and dropped a pebble from her beak, which turned into a rock, killing the demon. This myth is enshrined in the form of a rock worshipped as a ‘swayambhu’ shrine at the Chakreshwar Temple dedicated to Sharika Devi on Hari Parbat Hill in Srinagar.
HARI PARBAT is a hill overlooking Srinagar, the largest city and summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the site of famous Sharika Devi temple dedicated to goddess Jagadamba Sharika Bhagwati who is regarded as the presiding deity (`isht`-Devi) of Srinagar city.
The hill is considered sacred by the Kashmiri Pandits and hosts a temple of Shakti, or Goddess, which is located in the middle part of the western slope of the hill. Shakti is worshipped there under the name Jagadamba Sharika Bhagawati (or simply Sharika) and depicted as having 18 arms and sitting in Shri Chakra, an emblem of cosmic energy pervading the Universe.
On the day celebrated as Sharika's birthday, devotees make a sacrificial offering of taher-charvan to the goddess (taher - rice boiled with turmeric powder and mixed with oil and salt; charvan – cooked goat liver).
The southern side of Hari Parbat features Makhdoom Sahib, the shrine of Hamza Makhdoom, a 16th-century Kashmiri Sufi saint locally known as Hazrat Sultan and Sultan-ul-Arifeen.
Another shrine on the hill's southern slope is dedicated to Shah Badakhshi, a 17th-century Sufi saint.

Kashmir: Police foil Muharram processions in Srinagar
Amid curbs and traffic chaos, police on Wednesday foiled Muharam Processions by detaining scores of mourners. The main Muharam procession was scheduled to be taken out from Karan Nagar to Dalgate, however, authorities had erected barricades and deployed contingents of police and troopers to foil the procession.
Reports said that police used mild force to disperse the mourners who appeared near Shaheedganj, Karan Nagar, Chotta Bazar, Habakadal, Abi Guzar and Dalgate.
The restrictions had been placed mostly in some areas of Shaheed Gunj, Karan Nagar, Maisuma, Kothibagh, Sherghari, Kralkhud, Batamaloo and Ram Munishi Bagh police stations.
After the outbreak of militancy in Kashmir, authorities have not allowed the processions since 1990.
Heavy deployments of police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in full riot gear had been deployed in the parts of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Pedestrian and vehicular movement had also been suspended.

shall not come in the way of development of human mind, .
Where people shall have neither less nor more than what is needed ,
where guns shall not blast smoke and terror ,
where bombs shall not rain from the sky ,
where none shall be our enemy ,
where no armies shall fight each other .

Second Part Of My Trip To Hari Parbat Fort Srinagar
The fort is situated on the hills of the Hari Parbat or Koh-e-Maran or Predemna Peet is a hill situated on the outskirts of the old city giving one the panoramic view of the entire down town or Shahr-e-khass. The first fortifications of the site were constructed by the Mughal emperor, Akbar, in 1590. He built an outer wall for the fort, and planned a new capital called Nager Nagor to be built within the wall but the project didn’t see through to completion. The magnificent fort we see standing today was a result of the efforts of Afghan governor Atta Mohammad Khan in the eighteenth century. The fort can be reached via two sides of the city, (a) via Rainawari through the forts Kathi Darwaza Gate and (b) via Hawal through the Sangin Darwaza Gate of the fort. Via the Kathi Darwaza Gate we find Gurudwara Chatti Patshahi, an important Sikh Gurduwara in Kashmir and the Shrine of famous sufi saint of Kashmir Sultan-ul-Arifeen or Makhdoom Sahb. The shrine has beautiful architectural style and lies on the southern part of Koh-E-Maran hill. Through the Sangin Darwaza we find the Sharika Temple. The hill is revered by Kashmiri Pandits due to the presence of the Sharika Devi Temple.

Srinagar City From Hariparbat Fort Kashmir:
Hari Parbat Fort is an ancient fort in the state of Jammu and Kashmir that dates back to the days of Mughal. Originally, the fort was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar but its present edifice owed itself to the Afghan governor Shuja Shah Durrani, who ruled Kashmir during 18th century. The fort is epitome of religious shrine. It has Sharika Devi Temple on its western slope and the Muslim shrine of Makhdoom Sahib and Akhund Mullah Shah on southern side. Sikh holy shrine of Gurudwara Chatti Patshahi has also enshrines within the premises of the fort. The Kathi Darwaja is the main entrance to the fort.
