葛飾八幡宮（かつしかはちまんぐう）は、千葉県市川市にある神社で、八幡宮の1つ。旧社格は県社。八幡の町名の由来となる場所である。

紅葉の季節　秋の葛飾八幡宮　Season of Autumn brown leaves Katsushika Hachiman shrine

I visited Katsushika Hachiman shrine on November 10th 2016.
I aimed for shooting autumn brown leaves along the main way to the shrine.
Leaves on these ginkgo biloba trees have already become brownish but they
were not fully brown.
Some of them were still green even though it has been cold like almost winter.

There is a giant Ginkgo biloba tree beside the mainhall of this shrine.
It is told that this tree has lived for over 1200 years adn named 千本公孫樹.
(Senbon icho,which means Ginkgo biloba tree consists of thousands of trunks)
Unfortunately in this time,leaves on this old tree had not become so brownish.
If leaves on the tree become fully brown,it should be extremely great.

This shrine is called Katsushika Hachiman but it is situated in Ichikawa city,Chiba prefecture
now not Katsushika ward in Tokyo.
This area once belonged to Katsushika county in Edo era over 200 years ago.
This name is a sort of trace that this temple was a part of Katsushika county in those days.

葛飾八幡へと紅葉を見に行ってきました。
参道のイチョウ並木の紅葉が有名なところで千葉県市川市に
あります。
参道の銀杏はよく黄色がかって落葉も目立ちましたが境内の千本銀杏は
遺憾ながらまだ色づいてはいませんでした。
葛飾八幡と言われますが現在の東京葛飾区とはやや離れた千葉県市川市に
有り（近いと言えば近いかもしれませんが）かつてこの一帯が葛飾郡と
呼ばれたもっと大きな地域であったことを思わせます。
千本銀杏とともに千年を超える歴史を持つ小ぶりながら格式ある神社で参道のすぐ脇には
市川市の市役所が有ります。
