Kavi Narmad Central Library is a film made under Surat Municipal Corporation, Short Film Making Summer Camp 2017 at Kavi Narmad Central Library, Surat, India during Summer of 2017.
Before 1991, 'the Suratis' had places of entertainment and recreation like gardens, auditorium, swimming pools, and cinema houses and so on; but there was no full-fledged public library as a source of knowledge and information. Several stray Reading Halls provided only newspapers, periodicals and journals to the book lovers. The libraries of schools and colleges were restricted for their students. Therefore, the common man or professionals, technical experts, persons associated with trade and commerce etc. really required a Central Library with the collection of books of their field and choice.

નર્મદ ચંદ્રક સ્વીકારતી વખતે આપેલી નાનકડી સ્પીચ. એમાં પ્રણાલિકા મુજબ માતાપિતા કે ઈશ્વરનો આભાર નથી. (એ માટે થેન્ક ગોડ!) ઓસ્કાર જેવો હાથમાં પકડીને બતાવી શકાય એવો એવોર્ડ નથી. ગળે લાલ રિબિન દેખાય છે પણ ચંદ્રક દેખાતો નથી. જો કે કવિના મોં પર ચંદ્રકનું તેજ દેખાય કદાચ!
